Pizzeria Dolce Pizza — Restaurant in Veere

Dolce Pizzeria is one of those places in the world where you can get a good, if not amazing pizza. They have interesting (and standard) combinations, rich in toppings and with quite a nice taste. In the end we kind of had to eat there a second time and that's when the score for me switched from 3 to 4 (because the combination worked so well). The ambiance is of a typical Italian pizzeria, so not much to score on that.

However, the service needs to be mentioned. Unfortunately, the main waiter is quite curt and borderline rude. When ordering on the phone, he even closed the phone on me as I was still saying things, thinking I finished my order. In person, he was not much better, so he comes across a bit money/business-oriented.

In either case, overall it is a 4/5...

Never go there. Staff is unfriendly and racists. I ordered small beer and was served a medium. When I ordered for a rosé with ice, we were served a small glass full of ice cubes. After I complained and told him it is normal to serve ice cubes for Rosé in separate glass, they start to argue and became very unfriendly. The guy from the kitchen started to scold and called me idiot and mongol. We speak English and we were told ‘if in Holland, you need to speak Dutch’. Sorry, but their attitude is never acceptable. Sorry, aber mein bisheriger Lieblingsitaliener in Domburg wird von mir nicht mehr besucht werden. Wir kommen seit Jahren im Frühjahr und Herbst nach Domburg und Umgebung. Wir verbringen dort immer Monate. Die Pizzeria Dolce wird dabei oft von uns besucht. Aber die Preissteigerungen von Januar 2023 bis heute sind nur noch unverschämt. Die gesamte Speisekarte wurde in einem Jahr öfters erhöht. Die Pasta stieg von 14,60 Euro Januar 2023 auf 18,00 Euro im Januar 2024. Die Pizza Calzone stieg von 14,50 Euro Januar 2023 auf 18,00 Euro Januar 2024. Raffiniert wurden auch die Biergläser verkleinert. Das kleine Bier plötzlich nur noch 0,2 statt bisher 0,25! Da suchen wir uns lieber andere Lokale. Im El Fuego sind bis heute zum Beispiel die Preise identisch geblieben Preiserhöhungen im normalen Bereich sind akzeptabel, aber bei fast 25% hört der Spaß auf!
