This was our first night and we did had to make a reservation for this and reach little bit later due to traffic.. they did call n checked we are coming and didn’t look happy when we got late to arrive.. So the reservations can be made till 20.30 online..

We tried several seafood dishes from the menu.. Bento box fish (Tom kha kai soup, sea bass filet with red lentil curry, Pokebowl with Tuna, Salmon and Vegetables and Fried Dumplings with Homemade Atjar).. except for the lentil we found every thing else tasted very nice.. specially the Tom kha kai for me.. it had good portion of prawns.. quite a filling meal..

Cod fillet with Chimichurri (Cream of Potato and Smoked Pepper, Hangop, Vegetables and prawns) the cream and the fillet were super..

Bisque of Langoustine with Coconut and Massamar (Various Fish, Shellfish, Prawns, Vegetables and Naan Bread).. the broth was not appetizing so it ended up not so good..

Langoustine Carpaccio and Crispy Chicken was a light appetizer and then a mix of chocolate form for desserts..

Overall it was plus n minus.. I would say if your going, reserve the place and...

Update 2022: This year we enjoyed dinner at the Boterkapel again. It was very busy, so make sure to reserve a table beforehand.

Again, very impressed by the quality of the food. The dishes we had (bento box fish, pulled pork Rendang style and sea bass with oxtail) all have a great combination of flavours. And the flatbread with aioli and cashew/spinach dip is still a winner.

2021 review: Nice restaurant with a good view on the open kitchen with two impressive Beech ovens. Every minute you see little tinfoil-wrapped packets going in and out the oven. Including some really delicious flatbread.

We had starters, main courses and desserts. The fish bento box really stood out and is good proof of what the restaurant has to offer. It would have been a nice touch to get some bread or a little amuse before the starters.

The staff was super friendly and took the time for a little chat and explanation of the dishes. Due to Covid they still use time slots which were a little tight in our case. A bit more flexibility would have been nice to get a coffee. Overall definitely...

This is my first ever feedback online, but I have also never been treated as unearthly as in said restaurant. My wife and I are a financially quite well-off couple. When we are on vacation, we like to set our business clothes aside and prefer resourcefully produced casual clothes and sneakers (mind you, no sweat pants, rolled out-of bed style!). We walked into the not full at all restaurant and asked for a table for two. We are squeezed into the corner at the bar next to the restrooms after the boss has been consulted by the waitress to see what she could 'do about us'. I do indeed understand enough Dutch to get the scope of a conversation. We paid our water and left because I could not get over this treatment. I have no idea whether the food is good or not, but for sure, I do not support classism...
