A Hidden Gem I Almost Missed – F Life

I walk past F Life all the time on my way to the gym or to other nearby restaurants, but I never thought to stop by before—it just didn’t look particularly eye-catching from the outside. Today, though, I noticed the sign that said pet friendly, and since I was out walking my dog, I decided to give it a try. I’m so glad I did!

At first, I chuckled at the name F Life—my first thought was “F**k life?” It sounded a bit intense! But it turns out the name comes from the owner’s love for positive “F” words like fun, food, freedom, and more. Knowing that gave me a completely different impression—it actually reflects the spirit of the place really well.

The staff were warm and welcoming, and the owners were genuinely friendly. They didn’t hesitate to let my dog come inside, and even brought her a bowl of water, which I always appreciate as a dog owner.

The interior is simple and very clean, with a peaceful vibe that makes it a great spot for a solo meal or a relaxing break. The menu is all vegan and vegetarian, with over 80% of the ingredients being organic, non-GMO, and pesticide-free. You can really feel that they care about what goes into the food.

I ordered one dish and a drink—both were nicely presented. The portion was a little small, so I’d probably order two dishes next time if I’m on my own. My dish was mostly carbs and veggies, so if you’re looking for more protein, I’d suggest adding tofu. The flavours are light and natural, in line with their clean-eating concept that avoids additives and anything harmful.

My ginger spice drink was delicious—refreshing with a nice kick from the ginger. I would’ve preferred it slightly less sweet, but that’s just personal taste.

One small thing: the toilet could be a bit cleaner. It wasn’t bad, but a little extra attention there would make the overall experience even better.

All in all, F Life turned out to be a lovely surprise. If you’re looking to treat yourself to something wholesome and nourishing—or just want a calm, pet-friendly spot to recharge—I definitely recommend stopping by. Sometimes the places you walk past the most end up being the ones worth...

If you are looking for a place that truly feels like it is made with love, F Life in Veldhoven is it. The two owners, Komi & Dai, are kind and genuine people, and you can tell immediately that everything they do comes straight from the heart. The food is outstanding, made with high quality organic ingredients that not only taste amazing but also show real care for the environment.

What makes F Life extra special is the attention to detail. From the cutlery, plates and cups to the chairs and lamps, everything has been chosen personally by the owners because they truly love it. They also care deeply about art and design, which shows in the objects they use and the artworks displayed throughout the space. This creates a warm and inviting atmosphere where you feel like you are dining in a place where every element has a story.

It is rare to find a restaurant that combines such delicious food with so much authenticity and thoughtfulness....

It was AMAZING. I’ve never felt so welcomed and appreciated in a restaurant. We went there for a family dinner which was honestly the best dinner experience ever! The food is great, we asked for all tiny portions so we could taste a lot from the menu. I've enjoyed every portion even though i’m not even vegan 😸.

The best thing was definitely the atmosphere the couple brought with them. All smiles and sooo friendly. I left with a big smile on my face and will definitely come again. I’ve thanked them with my best 'arigatō' which they were very enthusiastic about 😜.

Also the place is very cute, beautifully decorated with cool artworks and furniture. I thank the owners again, a lot, for the amazing experience....

Amazing restaurant with organic vegan/vegetarian food, owned and made by a very kind Japanese couple. They really care and believe in the concept of providing healthy food that is free of pesticides and organic. They pick the best ingredients and we felt very healthy after eating. The price is not cheap, but you get compensated by the quality of the ingredients. The owners are very funny, kind and provide the best service and attention you could ask for. Veldhoven is lucky to have such a restaurant in the neighborhood. PS: dogs are welcome.

Order: tea sesame oil seaweed avocado Japanese style fried tofu Grilled rice ball Japanese syle Kudzu pudding Matcha cake (we opted out for the icecream) Food was really good and the atmosphere is great. The owners are very kind. A place where you taste and feel the love. Also a really cool aspect is the art on display and the attention to detail in cutlery, glasses and tableware. In short, great place to eat, get out of your comfort zone, get inspired and taste the love in your food. We are looking forward to go back!
