Best Italian restaurant in the Netherlands. Absolutely recommended for true Italian food. We went for a Saturday night dinner. The restaurant is located in a very quiet but centric street and very easy to find. It has outdoor and indoor seating. Table decoration is classy but thought in detail. Views to the street are calm and romantic. They have different types of menu: classics, a la carte, menu regionale (changes every month to offer a variety of dishes from a specific region in Italy) and menu degustazione. There is also a menu option for vegan eaters. We opted for the 4 course surprise menu up to the chef with wine pairing. Food was absolutely delicious with a mix of different dishes from the menus, good wines were amazingly paired and service is top notch. All fresh ingredients, brought from Italy and wine personally chosen by the owner to create a full experience of flavors. We initially came to Brielle for walking Llamas but ended up having the same enjoyment at dinner! We found the restaurant walking through town. We had the bruschetta to start, which additionally came with bread and tapenade. Both of these were delicious and with generous portions. I ordered the ravioli with prosciutto and figs. Normally I am not a fan of figs as they are usually too chewy and overpowering. These were cooked perfectly and complemented the dish well. The ravioli were large, more than enough for one and delicious.

We were quite surprised at the value for of the pasta, and definitely did not need to order an entree to be satisfied.

Lifeless, total lack of atmosphere, clinical service that felt robotic, veal was tough , desert was pre made and obviously delivered to their kitchen, was seated as a single diner what was like the servants area cold and isolated and after asking if I could move to the main part of the restaurant I was disappointed to be rejected and told it would upset the locals. Absolutely over rated and overpriced. Genuine reviews can be be painful and as a business owner I know this. But I felt I had to share my feelings. I would not recommend this restaurant and it’s a crime to to say it’s Italian. It’s absolutely no where...
