100% the worst food we had in the Netherlands. This place should go on Kitchen Nightmares tv show. I‘d hate to see their walk-in fridge.
Bolognese was worse than Heinz canned spaghetti!! The spag was way overcooked and mushy. I spooned out half a glass of noodle water because it was not strained! The sauce was old and tasted sour and of ammonia and also had too much sugar, and was gone off…I really tried to eat it and tried to load with the extra cheese and garlic to mask the off-flavour but I could not force it down my throat. I had to order extra cheese but it was no good.
I waited 30min and looked over into the kitchen, the tall chef was smirking, standing around, extra slow, and he was chatting and not bothered.
There were many people waiting with empty tables. I sent the pasta back and got pizza. The dough had no salt and tasted bland.
Ordered coke zero - never came but they tried to charge me for it. When I asked the same waitress about it she was rude and just said in a dismissive tone that she is not responsible for the bar. I had a skin reaction from the food on my face and neck and had to let out old bolognese smelling gas. Yuck place.
I regret having spent 60 total when there are other nice places like A-fusion but I was a tourist here and had no prior knowledge from word of mouth.
I do hope the owner reads this and takes note. The chef is practically sabotaging the business by not cooking fresh ingredients and fresh on the day and by the long waiting times. The kitchen is not being managed properly.
edit after reply from business: I certainly did NOT leave a tip of even 10 cent so that is a lie to leave a false impression on others who may read my review and your reply. As I said in my review - another guest at another table sent back an uneaten pizza and most tables were waiting without food. You were loading customers up at the bar with alcohol as you cannot sustain your business based on food sales. And that you find these standards good says it all! No wonder the chef...
Read moreNice ambiance. Friendly and fast service. Very attentive for empty glasses. It was very busy, probably recommended to reserve a table in the weekend.
Sugar on the crème brulee was burned, but won't dock a point for that as the overall food quality is definitely above 4 stars, and Google doesn't do half stars.
Atmosphere is nice although the building is definitely old and there's some literal holes in the floor. Much of the view is blocked by boats as well which can be a plus if you...
Read moreTeig trifft Teig.... = Pizza?
