The food is somewhat between average and good, the waitress was very polite and friendly.|We as a party of 4 choose mainly from the blackboard menus which are displayed all thru the restaurant.||Mackerel and eel roll with beetroot, wasabi and apple was lovely but they forgot to put the wasabi on the plate.|Our steak tartare was just ok, the poached egg wasn't seasoned and the salad wasn't dressed.|The sea bass was really nice but the oil soaked tagliatelle wasn't complementing the fish.|The stuffed pork-loin was the best choice. Juicy meat on a tasty fennel and apple salad. ||The friendly waitress took away the wine list before we ordered our first glass of wine we had to ask twice to get it back and empty cups and glasses from our pre dinner drinks where left on the table into the second course.||There is a nice variety of wines by the glass and surprisingly valuable as well.||Overall the food is ok, the waitress friendly but if you consider we payed nearly 180 euros for a three course dinner it is kinda overpriced with all the small unnecessary mistakes made.|It's a nice restaurant if you live or stay nearby but not really worth our half...
Read moreMy husband and I took our bikes from the center of Amsterdam and wanted a nice country tour to "Zaanse Schans". Along the way we discovered a little restaurant right by the roadside. We needed a little beverage/bathroom break and decided this was as good a place as any. I went to the bathroom and on my way back saw some of the plates that were coming to the tables....needless to say that triggered the hungries! Well we both ordered the BLT sandwich....I know what you're thinking....big deal.....well let me tell you how lovely it was for a sandwich! It was open faced on a single piece of the most amazing bread and piled high with fresh everything!!!! So delicious, loaded with beautiful bacon, big fat tomatoes, mixed greens and a lovely topping of chopped red/yellow peppers and sliced kalamata olives. Wow, what a lovely twist on a beloved classic. Very good pricing.....so happy we stopped in on this little treasure. Spent a good hour and then went on our merry way.
