't Zaans Kwartiertje — Restaurant in Zaanstad

When I passed by, this restaurant was closing for the day. They were only taking take away orders for the cold sandwiches as they were cleaning. I walked in super exhausted as the bus didn’t stop at the bus stop, and the next bus was after 3 hours. Uber app wasn’t working in my phone, and my only remaining solution was walking for 1 hour.

It was also that time of the month and a bathroom break was due. Noa & Dianthe are angels. They let me dine in while they were cleaning. And prepared for me one of the best Tuna sandwiches (it was loaded and had green apple) not to mention the nice seating and decorations.

And I was able to use their super clean bathroom which was equipped needed female amenities 🤍🤍

I can’t thank you enough for making my journey easier. I wouldn’t ask for a better stop.

Our experience here, as tourists, was fantastic! They two women running the restaurant were incredibly kind and patient and offered to help explain anything on the menu, as it was all in Dutch. Everything we ate was not only esthetically pleasing but was so tasty that we decided to come back tomorrow for breakfast! The steak on my Philly sandwich was cooked to perfection, and so juicy and flavorful. And the bread... don't get me started on the bread. All food was cooked after we ordered, and was made with fresh ingredients.

11/10, would recommend.

Vegan...

Sadly not a good place anymore. We were there a year ago for the grand opening. There the coffee was excellent and the food fantastic. Also the service used to be friendly. Over the last year the quality went down, especially after winning a reward. Sadly some companies can't handle success and loose the passion for their products.

Now what used to be a 10 for became sadly a 2. We already found a better lunch place then this and will advise all our friends and family to avoid this place.

The price to quality measure doesn't fit that...
