If you are going to stay at this hotel, make sure you know which room you are booking when you make your reservation.|Make sure you do not want to stay in a room that overlooks the street and has been converted from a shop into a room. This is room number 1. Pay attention to this.|This happened on our trip. Since we could not enter the hotel before checking in, we went to the address given. We specifically stated that we did not want this room before going. However, after checking in, we saw that this room was given to us. When we entered the room, the room had not been cleaned, there were cobwebs everywhere, the walls were covered with dirty fingerprints, and we immediately went back to the reception where we checked in and objected to this. For some reason, it was suddenly stated that room number 4 was empty and that we could only stay here for 1 night, but unfortunately the next day we had to move to room number 1, which had been converted from a shop into a room. We were also promised to clean this room, which they admitted was dirty. Because we had shown the reception the pictures we had. In order not to waste any more time and not to tense our nerves any further, we accepted this offer and started our much-desired Amsterdam trip.|However, the next morning when we moved from room number 4 to room number 1, we saw that the room had not been cleaned again, that there were cobwebs on the window and dust marks on the table. Frankly, the promise given to us had not been kept.|And we had nothing else to do, no place to stay and no time to waste in a new argument.|We spent our last night in that room that had been converted from a shop and left the hotel the next morning.|In short, if you have no other choice and if you don't mind staying in a Red Light Street room and if you don't have a problem with cleanliness, the decision is yours. Otherwise, the attached pictures...
Read moreWe headed exactly to the address where the e-mail of the booking’s confirmation told us ,we saw the Hotel from the outside, the door was closed and there was no one inside ,except a paper which has a number and a website, after calling the number the lady on the phone told me to go to another place which belongs to the Hotel, and we wondered why my phone guided us to a wrong address firstly !!! we had like 4 bags and a big suitcase and were were so exhausted ,after walking like 12 minutes we were so happy that we found the Hotel finally , the costumer service was a place kind of a bar or a restaurant , although i had paid already the Taxes and fees as the app informed me when i booked, the hotel employee asked me to pay like 30€ taxes before giving me the keys of the room ,and i said that I have already paid all that !! The answer was this is a touristic taxes all tourist in Holland must pay , and i hadn’t have any energy to discuss ,so i paid , then the lady said: do you know the place which you came from the first time ?= The room is there … it was a real shock and we had to walk 12 minutes back to the room … the room is so clean ,well designed and very comfortable and near to the train station, the temperature was too high inside we should know how to adjust the air conditioner, and the T.V doesn’t work .
Generally , the staying at the room was good but the way you have to make the check-in and the way you have to pay one more time the taxes , i didn’t like it and we had a bad experience here...
Read moreStarting off with the good… the room was large, modern & clean. The bed & pillows were very comfortable. The room had a mini fridge & Krups coffee machine which was a bonus. The TV had limited channels but you could log into your own Netflix etc. The hotel is a 5 minute walk from the station which is very convenient. The area was beautiful & quiet, smelled of chocolate due to the factory in the area & was only a short walk across the bridge to Zaanse Schans. ||The bad… checking in was painful, the restaurant was closed & the staff just stared at us when we went in (this is also reception). We were not given the balcony room we had paid for. If you arrive past 8pm everything in the area is closed & you can only get a pizza from the vending machine - thank god for that vending machine!! 2 nights in a row when we came back to the hotel our keycard did not work. The 1st night we had to go back & forward to the restaurant at midnight in the pouring rain (a 20 minute walk in total) & the girl, who was lovely, had to let us in with her master key. There is no towel rail in the bathroom & the water from the shower runs across to where the toilet is so if you need to use the toilet after a shower you could not go in your socks or you’ll have wet feet! ||Apart from the keycard issue we really enjoyed...
