Small restaurant with three tables and a bar type seating. Open kitchen, young staff. We had the 'taste it all' for 17.50 pp. Nice diversity of middle eastern tastes. The hummus was soft and tasty. Falafels could be more for two person, but with good crunch. Bit too much mint for my taste. Salads were nice, enjoyed the beetroot salad most. The Baba ganoush was too smokey for me, thick and on the fatty end. Not my taste, but my partner liked it. Olives were not fresh, but pickled veggies had a good bite. For drinks you have a variety of non alcoholic options. Clients come to pick up their orders in the same room, which is a bit messy and gives the place not really a restaurant type of atmosphere. The highlight of our visit was undoubtedly the food. Their hummus is simply amazing – creamy, flavorful, and probably the best I’ve had in a long time. Shouq also offers an excellent variety of Middle Eastern salads, each bursting with fresh ingredients and authentic flavors. Every dish we tried was thoughtfully prepared and delicious.
