Great little Malaysian restaurant located In East Ridge eatery! I tried the Seafood Laksa and the salt and peppered squid ! I was advised by the lovely lady behind the counter to opt for the mild curry level instead of medium which I thankfully followed. It was the perfect level of spiciness. I really enjoyed the mixture of vermicelli and egg noodles. The broth was delicious. The side order of squid was the perfect size for two people to share and it came with a tasty dip on the side. The staff were super friendly and it was VERY reasonably priced. This restaurant is not licensed but you can purchase a beverage on site from Noa across the way. It was genuinely the best Laksa I've has since coming to New Zealand. I would highly recommend a visit! I'll be back upon return to New Zealand. It is based within a courtyard of restaurants from which you can choose food in any of them and still sit together if part of a group with different food...
Read moreOrdered 2 Laksa-Mee Goreng-Nasi Goreng Laksa was not at all fresh. Mee Goreng had one prawn. There was not a foot of prawn in Nasi Goreng (but is included in their menu) The dishes they served were broken. Plates were all broken from sides. 1star for Mee Goreng taste only otherwise ot at all happy with the service They have increased the prices. At 1st they were for $13 and now for $16-$17 and after that they r serving like they r giving us free food. We have been visiting uncle mans from last 4years as we love Malay food but titally disappointed with their service now as they have lower their standards or it feels like they don't want the customers to order food and eat there. Pathetic. Will recommend every1 to not go there and will share my experience on public platforms too if...
Read moreOrdered a wat dan hor and was very disappointed with my meal. Most of the noodles were vermicelli, with only a third being the flat hor fun. I asked the server if they usually use vermincelli and they said yes, and that if you wanted only hor fun, you need to ask for it. But the menu (and all other wat dan hor I've had) says "fried flat rice noodles." Please, if you make substitutions from the menu, let your customers know, I wouldn't have ordered it if I had known. The noodles themselves were white, broken and hard. The gravy was very watery with little egg, and tasted only like sesame oil. Disappointed because I've had other dishes from here in the past that have been good (mee goreng, nasi lemak). Teh...
