Subway — Restaurant in Ōtara-Papatoetoe

The best Subway experience I have had. Have been going to the Otara branch since I switched from Otahuhu (they never have honey-mustard).

Firstly, at Otara they close the fridges to their meat and salad cabinets. I have noticed not many Subway's (due to busyness I can imagine) carry out this practice, but I have noticed at Otara they are always closed until order and the outcome is a fresher taste to the sandwich and you don't have to wonder how many flies have had a nibble on your gherkins before you. For me this is huge.

As mentioned previously in older reviews, the customer service is a stand out. Today I had the experience of my PayWave not working even though there were sufficient funds. The kind staff member did not make me feel bad, read out the reason from the docket and because I did not have an alternative method to pay on-hand, allowed me to enjoy my sandwich, let me drive off to grab my card from work, come back and pay. I am extremely appreciative of this as even though she may not have known that Otara is my local Subway and I frequent there at least once a week, she allowed me to eat and then let me regain her trust in humanity by returning to pay. Thank you very much kind staff member rostered between 2:30-3pm today. I will pay it forward because of you.

I would just like to finish by saying the Otara Subway is one of the most cleanest Subway's you will find. The kind staff and closed food cabinet's, attention to detail and consistent great sandwiches seperate them from the rest. To be honest the people make this store, shoutouts to management for the consistent upkeep and for hiring great staff to carry out these good choices. Thank you for pleasant...

Ok first time there,alley smelt of urine🤢before walking into subway. Greeted by Asian short lady,very welcoming,whilst taking my order. Big island girl walks out of staff toilet ,and shouts"Dont play with the door:😳 My son has a HIVEST ON,to state he is has AUTISM/ NON VERBAL!! He knows not what he does.He screams as his expressions/communication. Just RUDE !! not professional at all !! Having a bad day, DONT TAKE IT OUT ON OTHERS. And there was no one in the shop at the time either,but even if there were .they read the statement on my sons Hi vest and deal be curtiously about...

I recently tried the Footlong Veggie Patty from Subway, and I was pleasantly surprised. The patty was flavorful, with a nice blend of spices and veggies. It had a satisfying, hearty texture that made it feel like a full meal.

I chose garlic bread, added all vegetables, and topped it with my favoritesauce. The combination worked really well—the sandwich was fresh, tasty, and filling.

Overall, it is a great vegetarian option. I’d definitely order it again!
