Local to Point Chevalier, I came to the Cafe at many occasions, and almost every time I didn’t have a nice experience so I finally decided to post a review. Of course the location is ideal and really practical specially with babies/kids but I think the staff/management should improve the service/quality. Food price vs quantity/quality is not great compare to other cafes in the area. half of the team is not welcoming and even sometimes rude, making you feel that you are bothering them. I have carried my stroller up the stairs with my baby inside many times, and for weeks nobody told me there was an easy entrance at the back or proposed to help… one day someone different was working there and finally told me to go at the back. half of the tables are shown as reserved because they don’t want people to sit there even when the cafe is full and they could have more people in. So you have no choice than leave. Not a great strategy for a business owner ?! if you show up at 2.10pm you are told it’s closing at 2.30 while on google map and on the cafe window it is 3pm. So once again you have to leave and find another place.

There is lot of other good options in pt chev, maybe not as close to the park and with not so easy parking but my recommendation is do not bother going there as they clearly are not looking for consumers and go to places where you...

It takes a lot for me to write a bad review, but too many times as a paying customer I have been made to feel completely unwelcome here. I am often with my kids, but my kids are polite and respectful, they know how to act in cafes. The two main front of house staff (both men) are surly, and make me feel as though my presence is an inconvenience. Despite two tables being available this morning and the lovely young woman serving me saying one is available (albeit with a time restriction), the grumpy barista came in behind her and basically told me I couldn't take that table, because a group might come in soon needing it (it was 10am, and there were loads of empty reserved tables in the other room). No other cafes act like this! I ended up cancelling my order and walking out, there just always seems to be something with each interaction at this cafe, making me feel unwelcome. I'm done.

A while ago my friend with a new born baby in a front pack ordered her takeaway coffee, and was told to go wait outside, on a rainy day. Just rude, lacking in hospitality skills completely. Never spending my money here again, there are too many other sweet natured cafe operators in the area to put up with being made to feel like this when I'm spending my money. I should say all the female staff and young waiting staff are totally lovely...

Food ok, not a huge selection of cabinet foods. Owner arrogant and very rude. Doesn't make for a pleasant atmosphere. I needed to edit because of remarks made by owner. I also take reviews very seriously because I know they can affect someone's livelihood. On ONE occasion over two years ago I complained about something I had purchased. He took exception to this and we had a disagreement. Since then on every occasion I have been to cafe owner has been disagreeable. My last visit trouble occurred when we tried to change tables. The birds were very annoying and a table inside was vacated. We went to move there, but were told we could not use that table, but another one. I queried that because the other table had a reserved sign on it. That was when I was verbally attacked by the owner. On no occasion during this was I rude to him or his staff continually calling him sir. I even got his staff over and asked them if I had been rude. The answer was no. In fact one of his staff kept continually coming up to me and apologizing for the owners behavior. We finished our meal and left. After we had moved table the outside plastic windows were put down and there was no more trouble for anyone sitting outside with the birds. There was no discrimination on my part to him or has staff,...

Food was good but if you got kids please don't come in this cafe. You will feel pressure unwelcome and you can not enjoy your nice monring. Almost all the table are reserved. Special all the table on side. You only have 2 table choose if you have 2 kids. One infront of the casher and other one infront of the coffee machine. Which all at the busy location. People walk around you all the time. After you finish your coffee or breakfast, one of my kidsnot even finish. They come to collect everything immediately. You will feel uncomfortable and really unwelcome there. Feel like asked you to leave asap after you finish your coffee. Your table had nothing and your table at the most bust location in the shop. All those reserved table had no one all the time. They can only let you with your kids seat at the busy and dangerous area. Feel like they will kick you out as possible as they can. Would not come again and suggest you not if you has kids, at the end i seat back to my car and write this review as i am not happy. And i waste my Saturday morning time too make down this feedback may also hope other people would not feel something like me

The quality of the food is excellent, yet it needs a bit of finesse to bring it all home. The French toast was overall a nice dish, its downfall was that the sweet components was overwhelming. The bananas had a cracking brulee on top, something I'd never seen before and while it was enjoyable it added a huge punch of just sugary sweetness that was hard to get away from. The roasted hazelnuts and creme was delicious and added a balance of saltiness that was much needed but there needed to be a lot more of it to truly balance out the whole dish. The kumara waffles didn't have a kumara flavor, but they were nice for what they were. Overall there's quality food here that needs punchier flavors that are better balanced.

We came here for Mothers day 9th May at 12.30pm and had reserved a table which was a must because it was obviously very busy with people waiting outside, but inside there was no rushed atmosphere . The atmosphere was in fact quite chilled and relaxed. The staff were friendly and attentive. We had lamb and snapper mains which despite looking sparce on the plate were not only delicious but were filling (We still ordered an additional side of hot chips! ) The meals did arrive but not prompltly but not so so long as though we were were wondering if they had forgotton us . The meals delivered were as we had ordered. We thought the meals were reasonably priced. Overall totaly recommended for all occasions
