Unity Studios Point Chevalier - Pilates and Physio — Local services in Albert-Eden

I have been regularly attending the over 50’s reformer class for a little over a year now. For someone who struggles with strength imbalances and tightness in the glutes, hips and hamstrings, the focus on maintaining functional movements is a godsend. The Pt Chev studio is the hidden gem in Unity’s crown! It has a slightly more compact layout and smaller class size which mean that I really cant hide or take the easy option and use the wrong muscle groups - the instructor is always there to give me a gentle reminder of the correct form cues.

As an added bonus, I get to reward myself with takeaway coffee from the nearby Little and French on the way home after class.

Im writing this comment just want to express my appreciation to Zoe Lyle. Our first appointment was my three month postnatal, episiotomy at birth,light sleeper newborn , longtime skin to skin &standing rock kills my back and pelvic floor. Zoe is amazing! She helped me design my own exercises plan, find out where is the discomfort come from and how to ease it, she’s also checking my progress encouraging &remind me self care is important as caring baby(if u r a mom you will forget this often). Talking to her is like talking to my best friend in uni, the conversation is therapeutic. Thank you for helping me walking through the PN journey! You r a beautiful human being! fantastic...

Visiting my family & hometown and wanted to keep active while recovering from a wrist fracture and preparing for/recovering from a day surgery. Had researched and found Unity Studios prior to arrival. A couple of months before I landed, the Pt Chev studio opened; perfect location en route to the beach where we love morning walks with the family dogs. Started with a private physio and reformer Pilates session. Joined reformer foundation classes weekly/twice weekly with various instructors; all are welcoming and helpful in cueing and helping students get into right position. Highly recommend! Love this place & going to miss it when I return to my current home. Will be back next...
