Katsubi Bayfair — Restaurant in Bay of Plenty

I would normally rate this place so much higher, my top to go food place.

Recently over the past few weeks service has been declining. I went in today to order my usual. A karaage chicken tray and a rice bowl, two seperate items that I’ve been getting every single time.A new worker serves me, puts my order into one bowl, gives me half the amount of chicken I would normally receive and same with the rice and yet it costed me $16. My usual order gets me much more for that price.

The service I received was extremely rude, didn't even get a hello to get served and the bowl was mostly rice, i asked for carrot, and cabbage and he put all of a table spoon in the bowl so i asked for more and he slammed it in the bowl as though it was the biggest problem, would not pay $20 for a small bowl of rice and meat that has a weird taste again, also not the first time we have had a poor experience here but thought I'd give it...

We ordered 4x regular from here and we love katsubi however this particular one we felt a huge lack of customer service. They didn't crack one smile and we felt they were just worried about hurrying us in and out. The food was very dry and cold and they didn't give much sauce which made the dish really poor to average. It pays to go inside bayfair and go to the one in the food court. Much better service and quality of food.
