Rabbit Moon — Restaurant in Bay of Plenty

Rabbit Moon has always been a reliable stop for a great atmosphere and prompt table service. Unfortunately today didn't reflect previous experiences.

Notably, they were very busy at the time, however a wait time 20min ballooned to 45min as we watched others who ordered after us being served first.

Finally when our order did arrive it was short one coffee. Begrudgingly, the barista agreed to make missing coffee immediately.

That being said the atmosphere and quality of coffee was good, as expected.

We'll keep coming back to Rabbit Moon and really hope that today was...

Wow what a great experience. The owners really took their time to make sure we enjoyed our meal. After chatting with them, they informed that they locally source the best produce from the area and hand make everything they have on offer. There is pretty of things set up and space for our kids to run around and we even got to choose what type of music they would play. We go to a lot of cafes and we were definitely impressed. The lady who took my order was friendly but complained of lack of customers. Food and coffee was ok (overpriced in my opinion for a soft microwaved pie, which looked good in the cabinet) However, my biggest gripe is when I took our plates and cups back to the counter inside, the guy and young girl could barely utter a smile or a thank you...... Customer service is everything. I had very little for a $40 odd purchase.... No surprise the place is quiet. Won't be returning...
