Update: An update after the rude response : 1.I told you Not to worry about the burger and just give my money back as you got my order wrong. You still brought the burger out. You told us we could keep the wrong order. You could have taken it back. And we had been waiting well over 30 minutes for our food.

I heard you berate your staff member and another staff member apologized for your behavior!!! That's proof enough for me that staff aren't treated well.

My partner did tell you off as you were being rude and not listening to me, he didn't interact with anyone else til we left where we checked in on the girl crying. He did not yell at the waitress, we only comforted her and checked in on her as we were leaving as you yelled at her and she was in tears. You did not check in her her coworker did.

5.this response is very unprofessional. But I am not surprised. You have a terrible attitude and no customer service skills. You are making up blatant lies but my review was honest. And people reading this can check my previous reviews. I do not lie or leave poor reviews. And I could also get witness of what happened and the fact you are rude to your staff and they are scared of you.

You didn't take a stand for staff you don't know how to take a complaint

Be better and do better

................................................. Review: I don't like leaving reviews that aren't great but I think it's important to be honest and share experiences. We went on Sunday, firstly the waitresses were lovely, the atmosphere is really awesome. Some things are pricey for what they are but we went for the experience and atmosphere so it's worth it. Really cool decor etc.

As part of our order I ordered a blue cod burger and asked it to be cut in half. I thought my order wasnt the right price after I got back to table and mentioned to my partner that I think I had been over charged. We waited a while for the food. They brought out the food and it was 2 small pieces of fish... Like the size of a fish bite, wedges and salad. It turned out they put the blue cod rather than blue cod burger. Blue cod is $38 and burger is $28 so that explained why I had been overcharged.

I said I had ordered a burger. Instead of being listened to I got argued with. My partner got frustrated that I wasn't being heard. He was angry and snapped and said that he wasn't listening to me, then he got snapped at by the chef which is not professional. We are the customers and we're trying to communicate with him. I also asked why I'd ask fish to be cut in half....

In the end they reimbursed what I was overcharged and brought out a burger and let us keep the wrong order. But I don't think the chef who I. Suspect is the owner dealt with it in terms of the initial defensiveness. Yes people make mistakes, it's a simple apology and fix the problem. I know this as I've been 20 years in customer service and as a people leader. We did not get treated well. It was not a, nice feeling, yes it was fixed but it was not genuine.

We also noticed the waitress who served me at the beginning crying and went to check on her as we were leaving she got told off for making a mistake. We also got apology from another staff member who said sorry if he didn't speak to you nicely. I wont mention who did that as I fear they will get in trouble.

Staff should be treated with respect. Yes mistakes happen and that's ok... It's how you deal with it that matters. Listening apologize and...

Stopped in with the family (2 adults + 3 children) and asked whether we could be accommodated. Curtly advised that there was no space and current wait time was over 30min - no enthusiasm for our patronage at all. Many 6-seater booths were taken up with only 2 diners (but the tables designated for two were empty..). We saw that there were empty tables outside under cover (but exposed to cold wind etc) and had to ask if we could be seated there until table inside became available. Within 5minutes of being seated outside we saw through the windows a number of booths becoming available and fresh walk-in diners being seated in them (once again some booths being given to only two people). My husband had to go in and point out this offence before we were finally seated inside (interestingly we saw the same thing happen to another young family with children). My husband and I ordered a burger meal each (approx $17) and it came with an average-sized dry burger (with no cheese) and no side (chips or salad). A handful of chips for us both cost an extra $10. We ordered the pancakes for our youngest two to share (2 & 4years) and what turned up was 1x thin 6x6cm pancake (notice the absence of plural) with no dressings except one small margarine packet... The while meal cost almost $80 and before we even returned to the car the children were complaining that they were hungry... great theme and potential for being good place to eat under different management but as it is currently stands 1 star for service, food, portion...

Driven through Oxford often enough and seen the cafe sign, from outside as you drive past, you just assume it is just another coffee shop. This time we actually stopped as we wanted breakfast/brunch and stepped through the doors into another world. Imagine USA 1950 and 60's, the corner cafe that all the cool kids would hang out at, booths, juke box, etc. That is what we walked into. Yes, they even have a jukebox playing that era music and it wasn't blaring. Service was quick by friendly staff, food was good, milk shakes and smoothie was not watered down as seem common in so many places now, food came quick and had taste. Decor on the wall alone holds your interest as well if you like stuff from that era. Would happily stop in there again. They also sell fresh farm eggs and some of the usual take away stuff like cakes and...

As if the absolutely stunning décor, numerous novelty memorabilia items scattered around the place, overall cleanliness and friendly service weren't enough for you ... they also sell curly fries. One of the highlights of traveling down the main street of Oxford is getting to visit The Cruisy Days Diner. When you enter, you forget you're there to have something to eat or drink because you are too busy gawking at everything they have on display. The classic diner theme is top notch and the condition of everything from the jukebox to the phone behind the counter is in immaculate condition. You know its a great sign when even the menus themselves have effort put into them. Speaking of menus they also have a great range of food and drink options available. Did I mention the Curly Fries? Go and buy the Curly Fries.

Pretty difficult to make an American Hotdog and chips look and taste unappealing but they achieved it. Soggy chips and a limp bun with a sausage that had no taste. Hotdog had obviously been microwaved due to melted cheese "glug" on sausage and limp/damp bun. The sausage had a small amount of dark brown sludge under it which was described on the menu as onions but that would be stretching your imagination. I thought onions were translucent strands with some body to them when chewed. High price for low quality food. Image below of what I got verses what a $27 Hotdog and chips should possibly look like. Gave it 2 stars for the decor.

What a find in Oxford - Cruisy Days Diner receives top marks from us! I had eaten at the market so just had a cappuccino and caramel slice. Man that caramel slice was the BEST! Coffee very good. Kids had curly fries - rave reviews from both. Both had milkshakes - chocolate and caramel. All agreed best curly fries and milkshakes since our trip started on 22 Dec. Son had a mini burger - so good my wife had to have one too with her tuti fruity shake. Daughter bit off more than she could chew with the short stack of pancakes.
