My friends and I were from a long drive and starving and luckily found this restaurant. We loved all the dishes we consumed that night! I had chicken thigh that was so tender, the mashed potatoes tasted really good and it complemented well with the side veggies. The bacon was a bit salty though. But nevertheless, I enjoyed it. Highly recommended!

Found another treasure! The Eat Cafe serves a breakfast pie that beats the famous Fairlie pies by far. It is made with light and airy pastry and filled with egg, bacon and sausage. A perfect low carb breakfast or lunch that won't spike my sugar levels. Recommended, and add one of their yummy ice coffees to make it a refresher break.

First time i came to this restaurant i had the pork belly with rice and it was excellent! Returned for the same meal and it wasnt the same. Rice was soggy and porridge like, less serving especially the pork belly and food drenched in sauce. Nothing pilaf about the rice I believe they changed the chef on this day (sunday lunch)

Not sure how or why this cafe has such a high rating. I was initially brought out the wrong food - which I do understand happens, especially as they were busy. The waitress apologised and organised bringing out the meal I'd ordered, she also brought out the eftpos machine to charge the difference between the meals.

While technically this is fair, and I paid without complaint/ fuss, when I was working hospo and mistakes like that happened, we would just cop the loss, especially for $5.

When the burger and fries did come out they were inedible. Half the fries were undercooked, and the rest were small, hard and extremely greasy. My best guess is that the smaller ones were from a previous batch that were left in the basket and fried twice all at to low of a temperature.

The burger had a piece of greasy/ slimy bacon on it that had clearly been cooked in a dirty pan. The chicken was somehow boarderline undercooked on the inside, but overcooked with burn marks on the outside.

Gave up on the whole meal after 1 bite as it tasted utterly disgusting. A total waste of $30+ for an inedible meal and a decidedly...

Stopped for brunch when passing through town. It was a toss up between this place and the bakery two doors down. We went for Eat Cafe and regretted our decision. We were the only customers on a Saturday morning - but of an alarm bell when the locals don’t come in for morning coffee on a Saturday. Food was greasy and generally not great quality, which is ok in a rural setting if the price reflects this, but the prices here are high. Like, bougie-city-joint level which just sets a certain expectation and that expectation was certainly not met. Way overpriced.

The coffee was also not good. Served lukewarm.

After finishing up we went to the bakery to get takeaway coffees. The place was bustling with locals....

Our family of four just had dinner at this fine establishment. After booking a table over the phone got greeted by name by very nice staff. Came to take order after just a few minutes and got served not long after. Beautifully presented food, nice portions and excellent. Everyone was impressed with the quality of food. Water was refilled without asking and after the meal we were offered dessert-menu, which we declined. 5-star experience through and through. Have been coming here for 3 years during our winter holiday and it was always good. Today it was sublime. Thanks for having us. The Beley family. PS: Two days prior we were dining at the restaurant down the road... ...just the opposite...
