UPDATED 30 September 2023 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 all the way. About to go get my usual once or twice a week takeaway lunch from Chang Thai, in Shands Rd. Absolutely awesome staff and food quality. When you no longer cook, Chang Thai are really great at feeding us all. Go try them out Hornby kiwis.😀

29 November 2022 Every week, sometimes twice a week I phone order my takeaway and collect it 20 minutes later. So convenient, since I rarely cook anymore. The excellent service, always with a smile, will keep me going back each week. Well done Chang Thai. 👏

5 October 2022. Chang Thai Restaurant and Takeaway, Shands Rd Hornby (next to Hells Pizzas, cnr Shands Rd and Aymes Rd) Great small restaurant that I have purchased at 2 times in the last week. Food so delicious, fresh produce and cooked exceptionally well. Have sampled sattay chicken with vegetables, sweet and sour prawns. On request the prawn tails were removed for me. So appreciated. Being a small eater I get a lunchtime takeaway, which is no more than $16 and 2 meals for me. When I have the opportunity I will take some of my grandchildren to eat in the restaurant. Luckily i have tried this place before the owners got changed to know that only by renovating the place and making it fancier does not improve the quality.

We normally dine as 2 couples and order our favourites. Not only our favourite dishes have been removed from the menu, but also the tofu options have been removed.

WE BOOKED OUR TABLE FOR 4 FOR 6:30pm. AT 7:20pm WHILE WE ALL WERE STILL EATING, WE WERE ASKED TO VACATE THE TABLE IN NEXT 10 MINUTES AS THEY HAD SOME PEOPLE WAITING WHO APPARANTELY WALKED IN. PATHETIC CUSTOMER SERVIVE AND WAY OF TREATING PEOPLE. WHY WOULD YOU ASK YOUR CUSTOMERS TO LEAVE EVEN WHEN THEY ARE STILL EATING?

Worst customer service ever! New owners have ruined the place. Think twice...

Chang Thai Restaurant is great to have dinner with families and friends. We have been there few times, all staffs are very friendly, kind and caring. Last week we had our baby 1st birthday celebration. It was absolutely Amazing hospitality. Taking care all of us. We felt like we were celebrating in our home. It was homely feeling.
