We held my father's Wake yesterday and were so grateful to Robert and his staff for their care, sensitivity and help to give my Dad a wonderful send off. We had approx 150 people turn up and we fitted beautifully in the front bar. We were allowed to set up an area to celebrate Dad with his fishing rod and gear, photos and treasures. The decor was perfect for Dad...he was an ex-West Coaster who spent many years collecting old relics from the Coast, therefore it was fitting to be surrounded by them for his 'send off'. We had an open bar (all beers, house wines and all non-alcoholic drinks) and opted to have hot food platters delivered to the tables. Our guests commented on the quality of the food. In good conscience I must warn you before you enter this heavenly abode. Once you are experienced, everything else in your life will seem dull and meaningless. I cannot look at my family anymore, as it tears at my very being that I have to be with them and not at the Tav.
And the chicken burger was...
