Just popped in on our way to Rolleston for a mid afternoon snack. Ordered 2 separate parcels of half a scoop each and a potato fritter. Price for both was super cheap. Was untially disappointed to see Mr Chips chips but they were done perfect, beautiful clean oil amazing salt ratio. Opened our arvo tea and we had 3 fritters each and everything was perfect. Best Chinese takeaway in Hornby. The food is consistently good and is really popular. The staff are friendly.

The only thing that I don't like is the large amount & size of onions that they put in the sweet & sour dishes. For this reason, I always ask for sweet & sour e.g. pork, no onions. I would recommend that the owners dice the onions into smaller pieces and not put as much in - for those who like onions.

The parking can be a bit crazy at peak hours but we've someone always magically managed to get the last park. Well...

Saw the reviews, and though could this Chinese food place really be that good? And yes, yes it was. This was some of the best cashew nut chicken and sweet & sour pork we’ve ever had. Don’t know how to describe it other than just beautifully fresh, clean tasting and bright flavour. Not at all greasy and mushy like other Chinese we have had. Compliments to the team and the astonishing time to turn out such a beautiful meal, it couldn’t have been longer than 4 minutes until we for our order. Looking forward to...
