We came tonight to expect the same awesome service we have received prior ( over 5 times in last 7 mths)...we weren't granted the same experience...After ringing at 5.15pm this evening and trying to book a table was told to pop down ( round 6pm - busy time)and we will seat you when we can Gemma/Jemma told us...we arrived at that time... Jemma (when we arrived) told us to go to the bar and order a drink and will get you a table asap....when I ordered my drink I walked round to the restaurant ( to see OVER 30 Free seats available) and was told that we couldn't seat you because the cooks were to busy ( REALLY)...to busy to carter for under 25 people in the restaurant because you had over 120 people in the function room (which you didn't mention when I rung)..After sitting for over 15mins (after a simple order of 2x fish n chips and a burger n fries and buttermilk chicken) we order more drinks...time goes by (an extra 25mins)..I get asked "do you want more drinks".....no I want my meal I say..."gemma" goes and checkes my order and says...." its ready" with a crude smile of attitude...I confront her (embrasssing my wife for making a fuss) about the poor service and say what a joke the service was..... to have her say "its all my fault because im being difficult....FOR WHAT I say....because you couldn't take a booking or because you promise a service you couldn't provide ( waiting over 50 mins for a simple dinner)...Cooks were to blame for your poor service Gemma...No you are...One Good Horse...Your menu changed last week - I didn't think your respect for customers had.....Having an Idiot like Gemma/Jemma being your 1st interaction for your company is a massive mistake....Consider my business with you (AS SMALL AS IT IS) over....Disappointed for you....Thanks...

Ever since a wee kid this place has been a local ! It was one of my favorite memories & places to go! Ive since always came here for birthdays etc, Iknow owners have changed a couple times etc so its veen abit up n down for me but last two years its gone downhill, some of your staff are so unprofessional and rude! The food has gone basic amd not that good, but prices are right up there really not worth it. Keep changing menus and I'm unsure why, all of a sudden yous now have a minimum spend if you book for a brithday ( not even restaurants that are better do that ), also weird you cannot order normal meals when in the bar part which is still part of restaurant ( no I'm not meaning the turf part ) never has it been like that before either! To add that menu is horrible haha! Not much to choose from really, & Kids that have serious injuries on the playground staff couldn't care less with like what happend to my nephew all they cared about was the playground, mh nethee lost two teeth! and last but not least i came in yesterday for yet another birthday, we all felt like never coming back as they were not accommodating and made things harder we end up having to sit at tables by bar even though we were booked for restaurant ( we were 10 mins late but called up well before hand to explain why ) never had that issue before especially for a birthday. also your menu should have more details -eg loaded wedged or fries... tell us what is in them, I ordered them thinking its your normal loaded wedges bacon n cheese etc but no they are just highly loaded with jalapeños and spicey sauces which I'm highly allergic to! But if it mentioned that on menu I wouldn't of ordered it. I honestly...

Really terrible experience at OGH tonight. We have been going to OGH for years for our family birthdays and have always booked a booth, it’s never been a problem. Earlier this week I did the same - booth booked, no problem. When we arrived tonight I was told that they didn’t take bookings for the booths and that none were available. I looked over and saw they were all free, and asked if we could be seated there, and was told they were all taken - by groups who hadn’t arrived yet. Utterly confused and hugely disappointed we left. Kids crying their eyes out in the car, so I went back in and told the manager (who said he was also the owner) that the kids were both crying in the car and our birthday celebration was being ruined - could we please have the booth that we booked and was clearly available. He was completely unmoved and refused to let us have one of the booths (which were still all free). Simply the the worst customer experience I’ve ever had anywhere, family birthday ruined because of an owner who has no idea how to treat customers. Needless to say we’ll never go back and would never...
