We visited this lovely cafe during a visit to Pukekohe on a Saturday afternoon - it was the smell of the pies that drew us in . It is an old fashioned style looking cafe . Cute and cozy . The cooked menu is extensive with something for everyone .There is also plenty of Cabinet food . What we ordered was so tasty and delicious - the pies are amazing and pastry so buttery and yummy . The American hot dog my daughter had, was the best looking one I’d ever seen and she said it was the best tasting one she ever had ! Soup was flavourful . Big breakfast was really good and hot drink was great! Staff are super friendly and even though we were just finishing up our meal at the closing time they told us we didn’t have to rush . We would certainly recommend this cafe if you want a good choice of tasty food with great flavour in a warm cozy old fashioned...
Read moreMy partner and I had lunch here. We both had the soup, he had pumpkin, I had cauliflower..... Definitely homemade and very delicious. Would come back just for that!! The crockery, including the coffee cup was very beautiful and practical, made the food presentation!!! I noted that the place has had a revamp since I was last here (I am not local anymore) and has new non self serve cabinets, great for hygiene-no other customer germs on the merchandise!!! Prices are also reasonable. Young lady behind the counter was very happy, smiley...

But less so for the food and the service. The fruit cake was seriously overdone with almond essence. The bacon and egg pie was eatable, but didn't contain any hard boiled eggs apart from the cut edge. And the beef bun was just a cheap supermarket bun with (a generous amount) of beef in it - not really something you would ever serve that plain at home.
But if you are in Pukekohe and need coffee, go here. ...
