Indian Bistro — Restaurant in Franklin

What a lovely surprise find! We wanted to pick up a takeaway curry, last minute decision on dinner, while heading toward Waiuku. This place popped up on good old google, and wow! We can only vouch for the lamb korma and chicken tikka so far (our usual go-to), but they were sensational. All the right layers of flavour in all the right places. The popadoms that were given to us were a special treat - thank you. The service was lovely, with lots of smiles. We will be back. This might have become our favourite curry place in Franklin. We may even stay and dine...

For my husband's 70th birthday, 9 of us had dinner at the Indian Bistro, Waiuku. Shared entrees, mains plus Naan breads. It's all very yummy & tasty. No one was waiting for their mains. I ordered a lamb roganjosh, with the hot curry, and I was not disappointed.

The curry was very good, full of flavour, and nice hot spices. It really warms you up. The meat was beautifully tender and succulent. I was very happy with the beautiful jasmine rice.

I am very impressed with this place. The lady was very friendly. I was served immediately, due to it still being quiet.
