Rating is for service. With a minus. This is my second experience with poor takeaway service from fusion Gisborne 1st time I pre-ordered by phone as wait time can be quite long in this case 30 minutes.I arrive to collect my order following this time, to find my order hadn’t yet been placed let alone started. And again today I’m told 15 minutes wait time I come back after this time wait 5 minutes more, the only other person in there’s order is served I ask if mine is ready as had placed my order before the person who had just been served I’m told an out and out fib that orders are prepared based on what is being ordered rather than when they are ordered ? I noted we where having pretty much the same thing, so I ask to cancel the order as it would take to much wait time at which point she asks the kitchen who inform her my order is ready and to check the heating bag this she does and gives me my order saying as I leave that I’m rude. Somebody is definitely rude, but I’m not sure it’s me. On top of this I get home to find my wontons are not prawn as ordered but pork I don’t eat pork. The food is wonderful (if you get what you’ve ordered) hats off to chefs and kitchen. these events are levelled squarely at the surly counter girl. Read moreOne year ago it was amazing, tasty, always fresh noodles (crispy chicken stri fry) but when they moved to the new place everything turned upside down. Food tastes different than it was before. Way to loud music inside so you can barely talk to each other. When order for takeaway (chicken noodles) the time for picking up the food was 30 minutes but after picking it up and eating after another 5 minutes you could easily say that the meal was waiting there for long time. Noodles kind of over cooked and it made one big bunch of ovecooked noodles. Twice happend that I ordered crispy chicken stir fry and got pork. First time found out after driving 12 minutes home. Came back for new meal, barely told me sorry, didn’t make new meal but emptied the box of noodles on the wok to heat it again and added chicken - yup it was gross and over cooked! Didn’t get any discount and they kept telling me that the “reclamation and refund” was this new meal which wasn’t even new one. So sad. Second time it happened I found out back home and just threw it away because I hate pork (whole meal smells from pork), I wanted chicken but again didn’t get what I’ve ordered. Read moreI ordered a crispy chicken meal with rice and salad, then "upgraded" to add chips. However this meant I lose the rice and just got chips. I fail to see how exchanging something which is a similar price on the menu for another one justifies a 4.50 fee. I think an upgrade with a button saying +chips would imply you add chips to the existing meal not lose the rice. Ridiculous.
How is swapping chips for rice, both cost the same on the menu an upgrade? I understand the definition of upgrade, swapping chips for rice which you're already paying for is not an upgrade. You could just order it with rice, then order a side of chips, same price and you have...
