Katsubi — Restaurant in Hamilton

Really disappointing. We ordered through UBER EATS and were really keen to try this for the first time but turned out we wasted our money and ended up ordering something somewhere else because it was wrong and inedible.

Dumplings - There were either over cooked or stale because these were so hard we literally couldn’t eat them without it possibly breaking our teeth Tempura prawns - These were either over cooked or stale as well as they were so chewy they were inedible Chips - These were so over priced at $7 for barely a handful 2 x red bowls - These were made incorrectly. There was no ginger in the bowls that was meant to have it, it was put into the bowl that wasn’t meant to have it. Both bowls were basically all over cooked white rice, had barely any veges and had the chicken which was again chewy and not pleasant.

We wasted $60 odd dollars on something that was inedible and not nice to eat and then had to spend more money because we couldn’t eat this. If your looking for something worth your money and delicious this is not the place I’d put your money...

Have given this Katsubi multiple chances because it’s closer to home, but every time I go it just gets more disappointing. Today I went in for lunch, noticed they had a sign this time to say if the meat isn’t there that you’d like please ask for it we have and we’ll do it. However, I asked for teriyaki chicken and she said we don’t have, so proceeded to ask her to make some as the sign said and then she still went on to say no. Didn’t have any kind of respect from the lady that served me. Whether they were out of stock on their teriyaki chicken I will never know because all I got was no. Their variety is way more appalling then any other Katsubi I’ve been too. If you’re over dinsdale and want Katsubi I would recommend to just go to the kebab shop next door or take the time to go to the base one, where you will actually get your moneys worth. This is one of the worst katsubi store I ever experienced.. customer service is zero staff is having such a bad attitude, I ordered online 3 times and put proper notes for my order still they get it wrong and I called them and explained that my order is wrong and she said oh sorry and cut the phone this is ridiculous.. I ordered again today and tried to call them she picked my phone and hanged up straight what in the world is going on I have paid $38 and still getting this kind of service? Do not go to them it’s the worst service you can have they should either close the store or change there staff because this business will not run with this kind of review...
