Kings Garden Cafe Silverdale — Restaurant in Hibiscus and Bays

I would jave given 4 stars except they forgot my meal. They even came to the table and asked if we were waiting for anythimg, else we said yes, my panini... and she could see the others were nearly done and she didnt even go and check to see where it was. There were 7 of us and everyone had all but finished when we finally asked where my meal was, as she had not come back and my meal had not arrived...silly us thinking she would go and chec and sort it out..... They also did not nring cutlery or water... this cafe is lovely but certainly not cheap, so some service would have been appreciated.... are.good wait persons really that hard to find, or are they not being given the training required. (Not everyone can be a wait person and or do it well). Anyway, we will give it another try as glitches happen....lets hope some learning takes place from...

Edit: if the person who replied that was working out the back, was working in the kitchen...the kitchen needs a good cleanup.

Previously I have had great experiences here, today 31st Oct we were dispointed. The half empty cafe tables were messy and after we ordered and sat for 5 ~ mins, I had to ask for a cloth to wipe my own table, the staff did not appear to be overly busy. The kitchen had bits of rubbish on the floor and was generally untidy. We asked if aioli was available for our chips and were told yes, but were served hollandaise sauce. The burger was very overpriced for taste

I would have provided this feedback to the staff but they did not seem interested.

We thought this would be a nice place to have a lunch while catching up with a friend who lives in Auckland. However the staff where so incredibly noisy when loading up crockery at the counter, we had to stop the conversation for every five minutes or so. They were so oblivious to the noise they were making, the clatter noise could have been so easily remedied just by slowing down the loading of cups and glasses. So loud was the crashing and banging, we thought the cups would smash. Certainly not an inviting space for a continued conversation. This spoiled the whole experience. We...
