We went to the Millwater Bistro & Bar as a party of nine including four kids. The whole experience was delightful. The meals were great and the service was exceptional. As a parent with fussy kids when it comes to food, I was impressed with the kids food options and my children loved the food. They were served before the adults which is such a minor detail but really does make big difference to enjoying our meals. When the waiter could see they were getting a little restless he turn on cartoons. Everyone in the party really enjoyed their meals and the cocktails were great too. Enjoyed (mostly) dinner here on Friday. Meals were all very tasty, with the exception of the lamb shank which was OK but not special and would have benefited from more gravy. The disappointment was the service, with apparently inexperienced staff trying hard but: main courses served just before the starters, which meant we had nothing to eat while waiting for the main and made the starters pointless (although both the calamari and cheese pizza were delicious) a full glass of water being knocked over onto my lap by a waitress. Dropped by for quick beer and something nice to eat. I was suggested and served Crumbed Button Mushrooms (vegetarian) by Chef Meet. Simply wonderful. A must try and goes simply amazing with a beer.
