Our family went there for dinner on a Friday at 6.30pm. Our first time there and first impression walking in is the cold. Yes it was a cold evening but the place lacked warmth. A lady at the front desk after advising her we had a booking the proceeds to snap out "pay first" as I turned to walk to our table which took me by surprise and she doesn't smile. Only the older lady chef smiled alot.
We didn't look at reviews because a TikTok video said great things about this place and unfortunately I'd have to say our experience was very different last night.
The chill of the evening meant a lot of the food on warmers just weren't warm enough. The bulgogi and spicy pork were lukewarm - there was not enough heat produced to keep them warmer/hot. The other choices were panfried dumplings, chips and nuggets. Fried rice was cold even on the warmer and so was the rose and spicy tukbokki.
Ultimately, eating lukewarm/cold food in a cold environment just takes the joy out of eating and that sadly summarized our experience.
Having said that the highlight were the kimbaps / sushi. They were tasty. The kimchi pancake was tasty but cold. The seaweed soup was tasty.
Overall it has potential to be value for money and we may return to give it another chance perhaps in spring or summer and if we do, I'd hope to be able to change my review.
But upon reflection with our large family we could have gotten hot food cooked fresh from next door and would have been very...
Read moreIt's my third time visiting here, and the price is affordable $27(really happy with) for all day and there are many kinds of Namul dishes, so we can eat barley bibimbap with bracken(Gosari), radish, vegetables etc.. I can feel the sincerity of the owner from every foods. It's like reminiscing food. There are stir-fried pork and beef bulgogi which are good. We live in the east, so it's far away, but if there's something to go to north, we'll stop by this place and feel the taste of korean food. The bracken is so soft and delicious, and red bean porridge is the best. Sikhye also. If you think of a food you've eaten in Korea, make sure to visit this place. A very ordinary mother's taste! It's a buffet restaurant that reminds you of Korea. You will never fail. daughters of owner are pretty and kind. We...
Read moreDecided to give it a try, but should have stuck with my gut instinct not to go to place with less than 4.0 average rating on Google.
The selection was quite poor, and food was average at best, and it was very hot inside as they're trying to save money on AC.
There wasn't as good a selection as we were expecting. My kids remarked straight away that of all the buffets they'd been to, this seemed the most limited in choice. They weren't wrong.
The quality of the food as ok at best. Certainly nothing to get excited about.
Only vanilla ice cream for dessert, that was really poor.
They made us pre-pay on the way in. I haven't seen that before, it's like they're expecting us to dine-and-dash. Not great service.
Overall, I wouldn't recommend it and I won't...
