Han's Kitchen is physically located in the same building as 9 bowls Japanese restaurant. They also share the same dining area but have different operating times. Most of the items on the menu were under $20. There are menus for both at the front. I opted with Han's kitchen because I wanted to try their fried chicken and the BBQ short ribs just looked really tasty. My dad went for the Japanese option and we were able to order at the same time. The food was delivered to the table when it was ready. I also ordered the taro milk tea and that was really good. The taro flavour was really nice. They didn't have pearls but had jelly which had a nice chew to it. The chicken had a nice flavour. We ordered the combo with wings so were able to get two flavours. The spicy wasn't super spicy and the garlic soy had a strong soy flavour. It was unfortunate that the chicken was soggy. It wasn't crispy when we dug in but it was still nice. The beef ribs were nice and it was served with quite a few sides. my favourite was the egg on top of the rice. The beef itself was a bit tough but had a nice flavour. It was a bit oily with the onions but I like it like that. It was a really nice place to grab some food even though it is a bit out of the way. I really liked the option of being able to get both Japanese and Korean food at the same time but their opening times differ so it might only be available during the weekend.

Great lil spot... definitely worth giving it a try. If you like spicy chicken, ask for "extra spicy" 😉. The vibe and ambiance is warm, welcoming and friendly. The retro decor is real cool too. From Japanese Bowls to Korean Fried Chicken, it's a spot that's bound to be one you come back to.

Love trying new spots that offer Korean fried chicken. The platter here was great and all the flavours were yum too. Was suprised at how cheesy and yummy the corn was too. Great spot, heaps of seating and friendly staff

Visited Hans Kitchen today & i have to say we were quite disappointed. We orderded one Spicy Boneless Fried Chicken Size: Regular (NZ$19) Extra Pickles: Cucumber pickles (NZ$3) Dipping sauce: Sriracha Mayo (NZ$3) Some Rice 2xRice (NZ$6) and one ORIGINAL boneless Fried Chicken Size: Regular (NZ$17) It came to a total of $48 and honestly i don't think its worth it. We've tried plenty of fried chicken places and sorry Hans but we won't we coming back. The portion size of the chicken is small for its price. The same amount of korean fried chicken is $5 at night markets but tastes fairly the same. The pickles were nice but the fried chicken was over cooked and hard - difficult to swallow. I had to return twice, first for no forks or servettes and secondly when we realized they didn't give us our sauce that we paid $3 for. I mean dipping sauce should be complimentary with fried chicken especially when your paying so much for it. Unfortunately, we would not...

Very, very disappointed. My wife asked for extra sides, we were advised we would be charged for this (which was fine). I paid the extra for the sides on pickup and again asked that the extra sides were included and was told by the cashier "yes". Upon arriving home, they were not there and when we rung up were told "there was none in stock" but we were not advised of this, we were then told we'd receive an email voucher, which never arrived, so after a couple of days I rung (again) following up and simply asking for an apology and refund for the sides, this time the cashier said that the side was actually in stock at the time, so wasn't sure why we hadn't been given it (ie we'd been lied to from the first cashier). After explaining all the issues, we were advised we'd be refunded (only for the side)... it's since been about 5 days and we still haven't received the refund?!? Honestly, never had so many issues over a simple mistake of a...
