Ogane — Restaurant in Kaipātiki

The first time we attempted to eat here they were closed during their normal hours, so I left a 1 star review in spite of being really hungry and excited to try the fried chicken. We however went back yesterday, and as a man from Kentucky, I must say it was exactly what I was hoping for. The entire experience eating at Ogane feels very authentic, almost as if we were in South Korea itself. The chicken was fresh, crispy, and all around delightful. Dakogi in Highbury being our normal stop, the experience pales in comparison to this sweet spot. Pretty metal chopsticks, food displayed beautifully, decent price, free kimchi and radish, and a wonderfully sweet staff. Upon telling the staff of our first experience they stated they would update their hours to be more precise as well. For all reasons stated, five stars. Will be back. Excited to film a comprehensive video review of Ogane this Sunday....

This place has the best Korean food!! Staff are really friendly and helpful, and oh my gosh the FRIED CHICKEN and the KIMCHI!! Apparently this is the only place that has organic Kimchi it seems? Didn't have a sore tummy for the first time eating Kimchi. Definitely coming back to Auckland for this!!!! P.s. they have a baby chair for young families...

Love these guys for their lunches :-) Yummy, good portion and affordable. They are super friendly and provide good service. I am glad you are my local because I can come everytime I crave for Korean food....
