I wouldn’t bother…we were a group of 12 and had prebooked. We arrived and had to wait sometime to get our drinks order taken. We asked on 4 separate occasions to have our food order taken as we were on a bit of a timeframe. Someone finally came and took our order. It seems the place was understaffed but there were actually a lot of staff around not doing much. There only appeared to be one staff member doing anything initially and we later found out it was only her second shift….a side of fries was missed and we were told they would be 2 mins and they never arrived. One full meal was missed and the waitress was told and then she came back 15 mins later and said it hadn’t even been started yet. A steak had to go back because it wasn’t cooked to preference. Missed meals were mentioned to another waitress who appeared to be senior and she made the comment that she was leaving it up to the (new) waitress because she knew what was going on. We felt the new waitress was left to flounder and were very unimpressed with the lack of support offered to her by the staff who didn’t seem to be doing much at all…food was fine but there appeared to only be two people in the kitchen. She is an asset to your team and the only reason your restaurant is still open. I have been in hospitality for over 20 years and I've never experienced such bad management ever. Long story short come for dinner at 6.30pm... walk thru a punch up in the beer garden then sat done to enjoy a nice ribeye and veges but was given a COLD rump and chips. So I informed a manger of the error. THEN the second time got at least a hot steak but again with fries. So finished my steak and waited for veges etc once I said something. Read moreFirstly the first waitress that served us asked 2 children if they wanted their drinks to be 7oz 12oz or pint. When told that children don't know hotel drink measurements she was at a loss to explain it any simpler. Surely small medium or large would suffice. One meal came out 10mins before the other 3. The other 3 meals sat on the counter for 5mins after being prepared, the chef ringing the bell 3 times. When the duty manager was told about this she brushed it aside saying that they only had 2 staff but did not apologize. Very poor . There were only 6 other customers in the restaurant.
