What a cool experience. Visited tonight and blown away by this awesome charity. Food was well above what I expected for a 'koha' service, dishes brought out quickly and everything we tried was flavourful. The best thing without a doubt was the service, from the time you step inside until you leave, service staff were on top of their game and the friendly banter was the icing on the cake. Recommend bringing the whole whanau and remember to book in if there are 6 or more of you. Nice little treat for those on low income. Expect to share a table with others as leaving patrons make way for new ones. Clean and tidy settings and good background music while you dine. Well done, hope to see more of these popping up...

Our 3 course meal included Starter: Green beans and roast tomato salad with cured ham and croutons
Main: Crispy fried chicken with pickled celery, rice and dukkah
Dessert: Roasted apples with chocolate custard and buckwheat.
The volunteer wait staff were friendly and very attentive.
The night was most memorable - I will...

They say nonprofit but if you don't pay they make it known they don't want you there. They should change the organization's name to everybody pays...
