One of the, if not the BEST skate-park in the North island, this indoor skate-park was closed for BMX night which started at 6pm on a Thursday, not stated on the website at the time, I got there at about 2:30pm on Thursday and got in contact with the owner and explained my situation, (having driven 2 and a half hours just to ride this park) to which he explained that he had gotten one of his volunteers to fix the websites hours, then fully apologized and asked for one of the park "managers?" to let only me in until 6pm, which I was not expecting, after driving 2 and a half hours for a public park to be closed, to all the volunteers / park supervises who where there that day thank you so much for being so kind! We hired out sonsk8 for our little man’s 10th birthday party as he had taken a real liking to skate park scootering as of late. He had been there once before and loved it so wanted his party there this year and meant he could invite a large group. Aaron was awesome with the kids all day and provided scooters and skateboards where needed and a party area and music was playing and we just had the place ourselves. The kids didn’t stop all day and left very happy. Huge success. Highly recommend this place for parties, walk ins and a good time, and def something fun on a rainy day, they also offer lessons in multiple types of skating, blading, boarding and scootering if your kids are wanting try it out new. We had a girls 6 year old birthday party here and it was a blast! All the kids experienced something totally new, and they had the option of skateboard or scooter as all was provided by SonSk8. Parents even got involved, busting out their rusty skills/ giving it a go for the first time, and we even had a lesson included which gave the kids some skills to get them started. The staff were really professional and helped the party run smoothly.
The space provided for the party was a big table with seats all around, over looking the skatepark, this was also a good space for parents with babies to view the party from.
