Pizza Hut — Restaurant in Maungakiekie-Tāmaki

Last time I went there the 2 guys that served me were acting all weird I felt uncomfortable as they kept laughing and giving that look like they were upto no good i mean they said 15 mins I arrived in time as i got to the counter the guy was holding 2 pizzas he named the pizzas, garlic cheese and bacon with aoli which he had in hand i replied yes then he just laughed and said yours will be ready in another 10 mins so I wait, well 10mins later I get my pizzas then go home and eat then I ended up with gastrointeritis because sum idiot there couldn't be bothered to sanitize there hands after using the toilet, I never got this treatment from other ethnics that worked there before these idiots what is going on there, I've been in hospitality for 30 yrs and I have never treated any one like that no matter what ethnicity they were and even more disgusting that they treated me like that. If you see any of these signs just walk out and never return I'd rather give no rating but I wouldn't be able to write my review on this septic tank...

Worst pizza Hutt ever.

I've been there once before and had the same experience of ordering online and waiting 20-30 mins past the pick up time given on my order confirmation.

I had hoped this time would be different.

It wasn't!

When I arrived I waited at the counter a few minutes before being acknowledged.

If the staff have time to talk to each other (which they were doing)they have time to acknowledge their customers even if it is to say that you won't be long.

It's Customer service 101.

With a pick up of 4.50pm, at 5.10pm I asked if my order was ready.

The staff member went to look at the cash register (I thought for my order) greeted his mate who was starting his shift and they walked away from the counter together.

I had to call out to him before he apologized.

I was advised that the delay was that they had forgotten the garlic bread.

If I could have given no stars for this visit I would have.

The only positive is that the Chicken and Mushroom Melt was delicious.

However, I won't be going back to...

I honestly don't think the staff here care about what they're doing.

I ordered online, and arrived a few minutes after the time my order should have been ready. It took a couple of minutes for someone to come to the counter, and I paid for my order. Then... nothing.

Over the next 10 minutes, I could see bits of my order being put into the warming cabinet. My order only had 7 items total! At about the 5 minute mark I could see they'd completely forgotten to cook one of the items, because it was hastily added to the deep fryer.

When my order was finally ready, the guy who brought my order out had a cellphone wedged against his shoulder. He'd been on the call for several minutes while packaging orders, and it didn't appear to be a work call. He'd only brought out 5 of the 7 items, and I had to chase them up.

I won't be coming back...
