Cafe having been recommended was looking forward to a pleasant experience Approached the counter to find two staff in conversation with each other -------- they completely ignored me while they continued to gossip in a manner that I could overhear -------- I waited ---- and waited --------- and waited ------finally I interrupted them only to recieve a rolling of the eyes and a tightening of the lips At this point my intention to order a substantial quantity of cabinet food and ask the cafe if they could cater a local private event this weekend quickly evaporated ! Having been in the hospitality industry globally for over 20 years I know this kind of attitude comes at great risk Allow me to recommend the following: You just never know who is coming through your venue door and their reach in the community or on social media Always acknowledge a new customer if only briefly and indicate when you will attend to them Never show an inappropriate facial emotion Remember any hospitality venue is only as good as its WEAKEST staff...

My husband and i was on breakfast duty yesterday morning and we were researching cafes to have breakfast at because it was mum's birthday too. Have never been to Ngongotaha before and we were hella nervous to host for our huge family of 10 adults while on a roadtrip. This cafe made everything easy for my husband and I, from providing such friendly service to making delicious breakfasts that my family really enjoyed especially my mum. Thank you so much Cafe Dynasti for welcoming my huge family, catering to us with a smile and providing food that was made with aroha. We look forward to coming back someday. Anyone in Ngongotaha for a visit, please make a stop at this place, its warm, comfortable and the layout is so cute and inviting, to top it off, staff/management is very friendly and approachable. A magnificent big breakfast with all the items perfectly cooked. My wife doesn't really like sausages but she made a point of saying more than once how much she liked the sausage in her big breakfast and even thought about asking where she could buy them. Very friendly staff and a pleasant ambience. I was caught out a bit when ordering my usual "mocha with an extra shot" because it turns out that Dynasti is one of those rare cafes that has single shot as standard, but my double shot was pleasant and easy to drink. In summary, HIGHLY recommended, will definitely come back next time we're passing...
