4 Adults 1 child ate tonight at Levin cobbnco and let me tell you the drinks order waitress he was amazing 👏 drinks he promoted looked the part however 4 Corona 4 steinlager were just as they should be but NOT WARM and place in an icebucket on arrival to the table and then stated they are warm. "Where do you keep the bottles in a cupboard or a fridge" 🤔
1x Adult traffic jam was a whole glass of sugar really 😒
Then starters x2 platters of Freemans Table platters arrive $30 per platter
1.10x Deep fried cauliflower heads heavy batter and not cooked properly very oily. 🙁 4x heavy batter frozen prawns very oily as well just cooked to high which gave soggy batter.🙄 2x wings and 2x drums small pieces over battered and teeth pulling crunch not appetizing 😣 3x Dipping sauces 2 Very 🔥 🥵 and the only white sauce Aoli that was not enough to dim the hot sauces.
Overall the price of platter is expected when you see that amount on the menu however that did not reflect on what we received so not a good start to our family meal.
Our MAINS ARRIVE! and by now I'm already expecting over cooked food we waited 1hour and fifteen minutes for the following:
1x 1/2 Kg of ribs salad and fries meal Ribs rock solid Curry sauce glaze to spicey Chips burnt majority of the handfull 2x Scotch steaks salad and chips Now steaks were medium rare and they were cooked to perfection just chips burnt 1x Sirloin Steak salad and Chips This steak was tough and not well seasoned potatoes were raw unhappy 😕 chips also burnt 1x Creamy mushrooms on the side !!OUT OF A CAN!!!! A BIG 👎 1x Kids meal- Chicken strips and chips to hard for a child unhappy 😤 parent 🧐
Overall just a huge waste of money and time we were all to busy trying to eat our food with so much effort that we didn't get the chance to talk and enjoy the company of one another because our !FOOD! was just a microwave meal. 1/10 and thats for the nicely cooked scotch steaks.
This was such a dissatisfied meal here at CobbnCo Levin we will not be returning to this restaurant and we will take our $369 dollars worth somewhere else. !! I WOULD NOT...
Read moreAs we travelled from Wainuiomata, we decided to have lunch as we have been coming for last 30 or so years and have enjoyed the meals and have even bought the grandkids. Yesterday 31/3/24 we didn't enjoy the meals. We asked for cauliflower bites and was advised that there was no cauliflower. When the pork roast, there was 1 cauliflower floret and 1brocolli floret with no sauce which made it dry, pumpkin that looked burnt, however it doesn't taste burnt, carrots that had some herb which was unpleasant, 4 small potatoes again no sauce and they were dry, the pork had gravey but it was warm. When were seated we asked for a orange juice but it took a second ask before we got it. We also had garlic bread which we asked for extra garlic but that didn't happen but it was nice with the cheese but again it was warm. When the previous owner was there we had no complaints because everything was hot and the service was excellent including the people who served the meals. The young ladies yesterday did not look liked they worked there and as we were close to reception and the phone rang, the girl said hello and didn't say the name of the business. As a result of issues we had,we would think about going back and would not recommend it family...
Read moreIt’s a pity the food was nice because the service was anything but.
An adult member of our group ordered a kids meal as they had previously had jaw surgery meaning they cannot eat large meals.
The staff said that would be fine but they would be charged an adult rate for it and the desert that usually comes with the meal would be charged as an adult seperately.
After asking to see the manager - the some what rude and uninterested manager confirmed that wouldn’t be given any grace.
I find it somewhat pathetic that you must charge double for a kids meal for the same product you would normally charge a child price for - just because an adult is eating it. There was no extra food. Just double the price.
Service is not on the minds of this restaurant which is evident given the lack of customers in on a Friday night.
Don’t offer kids meals if your intent is to screw people out of the meal just because they want a smaller portion (and no - it wasn’t available on the regular menu to order!)
The manager needs a lesson in customer focus. Maybe that will bring back the customers. And a polite reminder to them - that raising your voice to the customer doesn’t make them want to come back.
I’ll take my $451 order...
