Er Dee Wa Restaurant move to @ 24 Havelock North — Restaurant in North Island

We were very underwhelmed by the food it was nowhere near the standards of thai we have had elsewhere. Very overpriced and expensive the best part of the meal was the service front house. Response. We did not just press the star easy I do apologize for bad review but that's what reviews are for we had crispy chicken which was nice hence the 2 stars my pork belly was chopped into pieces and placed on top of a watery iceberg salad we also had pork belly chopped into pieces on mushed noodles padthai just tasted like peanuts nothing else and chicken wings wth sauce and a piece of lettuce 5 wings I hv eaten at many Thai restaurants in the area of hawkes bay and this one definitely did not rate food. Honest review. No fresh cooked veg in any of meals just lettuce no fresh Chilli or anything that represents the thai food that we love. Only one vegetarian dish on menu and option to change a meat dish to vegetarian, just make a proper vegetarian menu. Claims Roti is 'best ever' definitely not in my opinion, was undercooked and doughy with no crisp, it came out quick so I would say it was microwaved instead of cooked in a hot plate. The cutlery was dirty and the beer jug it came in was also dirty. Why not just count how many people and take the required cutlery instead of plonking a dirty beer jug full of cutlery and chopsticks on the table. The menus at the counter felt old and dirty and two menus had different pricing. Cobwebs in the outside awning right under the table. Generally, I can overlook the vibe of a place if the food is delicious, but it just wasn't. The Thai food you get at the supermarket to heat and eat is better. Terrible service. Food came out super fast much to our surprise but once we started eating it we knew exactly why.. was either reheated or microwaved. Was given wrong information about my meal. Staff behind the bar didn't even know what midori was? When she finally found it the bottle was empty. $10 just for a cider. I asked what the difference was between 2 things on the menu, was told that 1 was a meal and 1 was a starter and the only difference was when paying $10 more was a peice of lettuce that was on the side...unbelievable.
