Harvest Lodge Motel — Hotel in North Island

I stayed recently on a family visit but was unable to do corporate work as they couldn't log me onto the internet - as I have an Apple computer.

Wasted several hours walking backwards and forwards to their office with and without my laptop & trying to log in before being advised that I was the only one who had ever had this problem and that only 1 in 25 of their customers have Apple computers (which was the explanation for why they continued using their wifi provider which gave them no login instructions for Apple users).

Owner seemed bewildered and almost irritated at my difficulties, and on checkout when I explained that it had cost one of my clients some time-critical work, seemed nonplussed & didn't offer anything to make up for it or showed she cared.

We booked a two night stay in a studio room and prior to our arrival, we received a call from Katrina to say our room was ready, which we appreciated. Our room was upstairs, it had everything we needed, a comfy bed, spacious bathroom with nice toiletries, a shower and spa bath, seating inside the room and outside too, a kitchenette with table and chairs. We loved the location and how we could walk to Havelock North Village with it's shops and restaurants. We enjoyed a continental breakfast in our room one morning which was good value. For a stay in Havelock when you don't want to use your car and happy for a little walk to centre of town , I think this is the place.||Owners very helpful and friendly showed us to our room, milk into the fridge ,air con on. Big bathroom with large bath and powerful separate shower. [Just be mindful that the tiles are slippery when wet- there is a note on the mirror to remind you].||Good sky TV.||Had bikes that needed to be stored in their garage - no problems at all .||Also happy for us to check out a little late and leave our car while we had a wander round town in the am.||Sure...
