Hey Jude Cafe — Restaurant in North Island

I don’t leave reviews nearly as often as I should for someone who dines out far too frequently, but I was so pleasantly surprised by Hey Jude cafe yesterday I thought I really should share some love. My sister and I dined with our two young children. She ordered the full breakfast, pancakes for her little one, a brownie, a smoothie and a chai latte. I had the French toast, an iced coffee and pancakes for my little one. The food was so good, hence why I am here writing this review. Extra special shoutout to the full breakfast, everything on it was perfect - crispy + fluffy hash, runny poached eggs, crispy + oozy kransky, tasty mushrooms.. Yum! I have been looking for a full breakfast like this in Tauranga for a long time! The French toast was also so very good with its mascarpone dollop to balance the sweet. I loved that the kid’s breakfasts were priced fair ($9) but still a decent portion. The iced coffee was a bit weaker than I’d usually prefer, but really still very good. Hey Jude Café is such a cosy spot with a great vibe. The staff are super friendly and welcoming, which makes the whole experience even better. The food is always fresh, beautifully presented, and full of flavour — you can tell a lot of care goes into the menu. Their coffee is spot on every time too.
