La Pizzeria — Restaurant in North Island

Ate here on Saturday night. 2 adults and 3 young children 7 and under. Lovely service and people but food took an hour to come out and there was no warning to us before we ordered of delays. When we did get the 3 pizzas the bases were badly burnt and the rims around the outside. Such a disappointment. Some bits were inedible. I wish I had taken a photo of my yummy yummy pizza! It was the best vegan pizza I've been able to get in a very long time!! Great service. Well mannered staff. As a vegan, it is always a worry, finding someone that provides vegan friendly food. I was so surprised when I picked my pizza up. It was beautiful to look at, and so enjoyable to eat. Top notch LA Pizzaria!! Top notch!! So popular, that you had to close shop early at the Ohakune Blues and Roots Festival. Yet you all remained professional and friendly to the end....

This place was a gem. Cozy with a few tables available. We ordered a large bbq and small hawaiian pizza to share with two adults, and were given two extra small plates. The pizza was delicious, crispy crust with ample toppings and cheese cooked to perfection. Just what we needed. Keep in mind though that the place has a 'till sold out' policy. After we walked in and ordered at 7 on a friday, they put up a sign on the window that they sold out and can't take new orders. Call ahead if you're late to avoid...
