Last week around 8 45 I came into the restaurant and asked if I can dine in . The lady at the reception said yes you can . I ordered creamy chicken with roti , roti was so thick and cold . After eating 5 % of the curry I smelled something rotten , finally figured out that carrot was rotten and not fresh . I called the waiter and said it is rotten and asked her to call the owner . She went inside and came back but just ignored me ( I was still waiting for to see what she says ) and then I went to her and asked what happened did you tell the chef or owner she then with grumpy face went inside and called a old lady . She asked me what's wrong and I explained she said I can do anything as the owner is not here and the chef is away . I argued for a while and said I have already paid for it so please bring me a fresh one or return my money back . After some argument she decided to make fresh curry. Then another waitress ( probably a relative of the owner she's young ) came by and tried to take back the rotten curry ( probably wanted to use the same curry ) . I then insisted her to bring the fresh curry first before taking the rotten curry , while the old lady decided to make the creamy chicken herself with out a chef ( she doenst want to pay back to me ) . She brought fresh curry no taste , no cream ( dish name is creamy chicken ) . It is pretty bland and hated it . Left all the food and left

First thing here is the receptionist didn't respond when I asked her to call the owner , she jus ignored me

Second thing is the food is rotten and the old lady refused to pay me back

Third thing they tried to cook the same curry

4th thing she cooked it in hurry without a chef and it's the worst

When you take $25 for a curry I expect it's worth not this type of customer care . These guys are pretty good at first when money is flowing they just ignore . Learn customer service . I used to order at least 3 times a week online , I will never come back to you . For giving back $25 to the customer you lost few thousand dollars and I will make sure all my friends in Tawa will know abt this . Previously I have recommended atleast 15 people and I will make sure they know what...

Have been several times but not when busy like it was tonight on Valentine’s Day. Food is great but they don’t seem to be able to handle large crowds. No clear supervisor for a busy evening like this. When my husband and I arrived we were told no water available as they didn’t have enough water bottles for all their tables and would bring one but forgot so had to ask again. Asked for a Bloody Mary and was told they would ask, no drink came out so we both waited for ages before checking and it turns out they couldn’t make one but forgot to say anything. Food was beautiful however for a valentines date night to hear the grumbles from other customers around delays with orders, wrong orders coming out, no food at all, asking for orders when the customers hadn’t yet been give menus, tables not being cleared and the staff looking so stressed trying to keep up it wasn’t the best atmosphere. Arriving home to see on their Facebook story that every table would get complimently prawn crackers, they had run out before 6.30pm. As I said the food is beautiful but the service let them...

This was some place I was looking forward to as we had previously enjoyed the Cambodian that this building used to house. The starters came out not long after ordering and around when our drinks also came. The problem was that one of our mains arrived even before we had finished a sharing platter. The second main not only came at least quarter of an hour later but also was lukewarm and needed to be sent back to actually be heated. The starter platter had a good mix of items, and most were tasty, but the peanut satay was liquid and bland and the summer rolls was missing something that would normally provide flavour. The garlic prawns were hardly garlicky, no sauce while being supplied rice and a salad with the dish. Thankfully the salad was there otherwise it would be so dry. The Vietnamese Creamy Chicken Curry as stated was originally not hot, but also lacked any real spice temperature either. Hunting through the dish, it was mainly potato and carrot, with 6 pieces of chicken. For that price, for what was received, it was lacking. Won't be back - first...

Popped in on a Sunday around 1:30pm and ordered the $17 lunch special. I chose the pork belly bao with crispy chicken wings. The bao and chicken wings were delicious and I enjoyed the broth that accompanied it. The mango rice was unique and felt like a little dessert with the meal. Could be five stars if priced slightly cheaper or if the portion size was larger. But for $17, we left a little hungry and there are plenty of other nearby eateries offering bigger portions for the same price or less.

Madam Saigon has a good range of Vietnamese options to choose from and all of the dishes so far have been packed with flavour. I can't fault the service or atmosphere. It can get busy so book ahead for a big group. They hand the order out when it's ready, so some of your group could be delayed. It's unfortunate that they have to share a toilet with the bar next door. Otherwise this has become a regular place to eat!

Food was really good, the lychee mocktail was a bit so-so, but everything else was really good. We might have gone during a busy time, so it took a while for the food to arrive, but once it did, we enjoyed every single dish we ordered. It was a very satisfying meal and was the best way to end a week.
