This is a lovely cafe. Their menu has really good choices and the food is excellent. I love their eggs Benedict. Their desserts are really tasty, not sure if they bake them onsite, but I think they do. Try their lemon cake, which isn't too sweet (including the whipped cream), it's worth the calories! Speaking of things that are too sweet, I've found that the Kiwi's tastes run towards the sweeter side. I'm from the US, and I'm not used to such sweet foods. So I'm always happy when I find a treat that's not too sweet! I try to watch my sugar intake as we all know it's not very good for you. They have a bagel dish that's also very good. I have mostly eaten breakfast foods here. They do have lunch and have stuff that's premade, like pies and sandwiches, if you're in a hurry. But I prefer the made to order food. That's just my personal taste. The atmosphere is what you'd expect from a cafe. It's a nice place that's cute, clean and tidy. Their employees are very nice and professional. They will try and accommodate your needs whenever possible. I personally don't care to eat outside, although I had to the last time we were there, I think it was due to the COVID restrictions, but being in downtown Kamo it's not like there's much to look at outside (I also don't like the smell of car exhaust while I'm eating). I much prefer to eat indoors. I have a strong dislike of flies on my food, which is another reason why I like eating indoors. I think they have, maybe, 6-8 tables outside, so there's not a whole lot of seating out there for those of you who like eating outside. Overall, I definitely recommend Milk and Honey cafe. I think you'll agree that it's a very good cafe in...
Read moreDo not recommend. I was very excited to try milk and honey. I went here for a friends birthday, although it was only five of us. The service was awful, we waited a ridiculous amount of time to even be served while staff stop around and there weren’t many people in the restaurant at the time, we eventually called them over after giving up. Then we so many mistakes on top of mistakes with our order it became comedic, no apologies for any mistakes instead received a cold shoulder sort of attitude. The food was very average and when taking the price into consideration it was bad. We purchased the “money bag dumpling” then received a European style soup dumpling sort of thing, nothing money bag dumpling about it. Was so excited to try this place, the location and decor were lovely but I did not feel valued as a customer and didn’t enjoy my experience. I can safely say I will never return, it was the worst experience I have had in a very long time unfortunately. The party of five people agreed none of us liked Milk and honey even if we didn’t say anything at the time to ruin our friends special night. Maybe it was an off night but still this is my honest review. Sorely...
Read moreMy friend and I didn't have a very nice experience at all. We do regularly come here to catch up either together, with other friends or with our families. We both follow a keto way of eating and the choices on the menu are pretty limited. We dont ask for difficult changes or weird and wonderful ingredients, we are happy with bacon and eggs. This time my friend bought keto bread (different from regular glutenfree or paleo bread) along to toast with our bacon and eggs. We didn't ask for it to be toasted on a separate toaster or anything special, just to toast it. This created an enormous problem for staff and we were told that it was not a done thing. One lady was rather rude and snarky, she said that they would do it only this once. We usually have the bacon and eggs without the bread and never are we offered something else instead or are we charged any less. We did try and explain this, but it fell on deaf ears. We were very disappointed with their attitudes and won't be returning. We didn't ask for miracles or asked to have things...
