The staff are friendly both 'in-house' and over the phone. There are table & chairs available to dine in if you choose to stay and eat, with enough space to be comfortable.

For our family we usually go with the fish bites, snapper, Steak & Egg burger and chips which for a family of 3 children and 2 adults is priced anywhere between $45 - $55, which i find to be reasonably priced.

The taste and quality can be a little 'touch & go' sometimes which means at times we feel we get great value for money, and other times we wished we'd gone somewhere else. However, we've been satisfied more times than not with the kai.

Thank you for clarifying. That makes far more sense and I believe I misunderstood what I was getting. I will check when I go in there tomorrow, until then I'm giving Hook Inn the benefit of the doubt because it makes sense. If it was pack 6, and it was explained like the message I received in response to my previous feedback then I incorrectly made the wrong review. Hook In Fish and Chips offers a decent experience, lots of people swear it’s one of Whangārei’s best spots for fish and chips, and while I’m not totally sold yet, their fish and chips do hold up well. The burgers have never quite been my thing though.

There’s a nice dining area where you can enjoy your food hot and fresh, and the staff are always lovely, which makes a big difference.
