Paying $80 for some bacon eggs and a coffee I would expect to get my coffee before others that walked in after me…. Poor start to a Mother’s Day. Will not be back and will not recommend to others. The owner of the shop knew it was wrong and tried to no English me and say oh yes yes coffee and nod, I’m used to working with international people and this is the oldest trick in the book! I know for a fact he has great English.
In the end he missed the coffee in my mocha and served me a breakfast with Cheerio sausages…. Was actually a joke and wouldn’t mind my money back… I see why they charge you first.
The berry smoothie tasted like yoghurt not berries
I actually cannot believe they have got this bad this quick, used to be okay/good, hence the reason I went there not up the road to Milk and Honey, jokes on me I guess
Couldn’t add a photo but the big breakfast is not big, 1 hash brown, 1 tomato, couple pieces of bacon, some eggs and 1 piece of toast and don’t forget the Cheerio sausages
Please understand you aren’t Michellen accredited and customers expect to be feed for $22
The beef Wellington was made out of sausage roll meat for goodness sake, go to Omak butchery 10 doors up and buy one with real meat!
threw the coffee away and got a boss ice coffee ffs 🤦♂️

Read moreRecently moved to Te Kamo & returned to Soda. It has new owners & I absolutely love what they’ve done with the place.
There’s a great blackboard menu & fresh cabinet food. I love how they have baking not found everywhere else. The blueberry muffins are a gift from the gods & their open steak sarnie with caramelised onion is succulent and tasty.
The coffee is exceptional too, and I am fussy, so I always try that first.
Pricing is reasonable.
There’s lots of seating inside & out & they don’t mind dogs in the outside spots.
There’s an under cover part to the side of the cafe that’s lovely on a hot day - a nice balance of outdoors & breeze without the sun overhead.
The place is contemporary without being pretentious - and I’m already a fan of the staff.
Can’s seem to upload my pics, so you’ll just have to go see...
Read moreI stopped in for a fast breakfast. It was such a disappointment. The savoury mince was not savoury at al. It had so much tomato paste in it I couldn’t taste the mince, the coffee was a let down. The larg in house coffee was a standard size cup. The takeaway large was half as big again. I couldn’t eat the Luke warm tomato mince and the 3 slices of French stick they called toast came in buttered? I was asked if I wanted butter?! I would avoid going there. It was such a disappointment. Another customer was behind me she complained her...
