Well, as a French I came to this place to remind the flavours of my beloved country because I knew the owner of this place was French but I was quite disappointed. I took a croissant and a pain au chocolat, the were tasty made with butter, but not fresh from the day ! But the biggest problem was the baguette, the size looks like a half one , the crust isn't crispy and once again it's not fresh. I put this baguette as the same level as an industrial one : bland and tasteless, but with the additional cost. I won't call that a baguette. I can understand we can't find the same ingredients in NZ but at least you could make it fresh. I will not recommend this place for the bread, I haven't tried the rest thought but I...

Absolutely divine!! Wow!! We came across this place on our way back to Hamilton. What a find. The pies have a succulent, flakey pastry that melts in the mouth. Hubby had the classic mince n cheese. He said the mince filling reminded him of mums slow cooked mince on toast , encased in exquisite, buttery pastry . I had the meuille fueille( custard pastry tart) . Again…heaven. I have not had a better meuille fueille in Paris or Shanghai ( very very good French bakeries in Shanghai, I might add..) Vanilla cream custard oozing out of delicate shards of pastry, topped with a sublime vanilla and cocoa icing… All very reasonably priced and served with love! We will definitely be back! Merci beaucoup, mon...

I went to the bakery at around 10:30 and there were plenty of delicious treats to choose from.

The store is right next to a gas station so it's a good stop during a road trip or road tour

The pricing was fairly reasonable and the desserts were good! I chose a strawberry tart and lemon tart and they were very good! The strawberry tart wasn't too sweet and the strawberries seemed quite fresh! The lemon tart was a perfect mix of sweet and sour, so it is perfect in my book.

Overall I would love to come by again and I would absolutely...

This little little is such a delight, always popular, so do go early do you don't miss out on the best sellers. We tried the Pear & Almond tart, and it was absolutely divine! Plus, a selection of macaroons. They were the best I have ever tried, crunchy & not chewy at all. It is a very tight shop, especially when full of keen pastry lovers (that's the only let down for me). There's also a toilet there.
