I went to Columbus coffee for my 18th birthday. Going out to restaurants have always been a struggle due to the thought of “i hope the food is worth the money”, And LET ME TELL YOU, Columbus coffee restaurant was DELICIOUS. You know that feeling of paying, waiting then seeing the food, And the second you taste it, That really dictates the whole experience, I demolished the pancakes. People, stopping here on the way to Napier we were totally unimpressed. The steak/ mushroom pie & the sausage roll we both absolutely tasteless with two small wilted lettuce leaves for side greenery with no dressing! The carrot cake was very nice & moist. The good large sized coffees in takeaway cups were weak in flavour (both double & triple shots) especially when paying an extra $ for a triple shot which definitely was not the strength of a triple shot! Very disappointing by the guy at the counter with a ring through his nose and a feather tattoo on his neck to acuse us of carrying germs, we felt insulted and disgusted by this, when we bought this to his attention, he argued aggressively, then called sucurity, we are both in our seventies and we were shocked and stunned, never have we been treated like this in our trips around the North Island, and while this guy works for you we won't be back, he needs a course in kiwi hospitality and if he is worried about germs wear s mask or get another job away from the...
