Hi Evan. I apologise for the wording of my previous review. I strongly believe in honest feedback but I also believe it should be constructive, which mine clearly wasn't (bad day!). So hopefully it will help if I'm a little more specific. A couple of weeks ago we visited with friends and both couples ordered their meals at the same time. Our friends ordered wings and a pizza. There was a long delay and we were warned of this so it was not a problem. However 20 minutes after we had received our meal, our friends had still not received theirs. They were then advised that there were no wings (this was now around 80 minutes after they first ordered). Their pizza finally arrived. On two previous occasions we have ordered 20 wings to take away and only received 12 when we picked them up (but not noticed until we got home). The last time, I phoned and left two messages on your answerphone but never received a call back or apology. My comment about service was not about putting down your staff, but about instances such as the above and a general feeling of inattention. Whether this is about training or resourcing, I don't know - I can only comment on how I have felt as a customer. In terms of food quality, wings and salads great but pizzas have become increasingly lean on topping and other meals have not been that enjoyable. Once you have had a chance to read this, I am happy to delete the comment as you will have heard the feedback and be able to decide if it is of any worth to you. In terms of my husband's business, each customer is invited to provide feedback in a number of ways and we value this. We would expect that if people are not happy they will advise us - this is how we can improve our business. Should you ever experience one of Mike's charters (which I expect is unlikely based on your comments) you would be welcome to offer an opinion of the business. Read moreMy mum and I visited on Sunday following seeing some really good reviews online. When we arrived the place was dead quiet - we would've been more understanding if they were busy. When we went to order we were advised that there were a number of salads unavailable and the ones they did have were missing aspects (avocado on the bean salad). We decided to still ordered the bean salad and accepted that there would be no avo, we also ordered a Ceasar salad (and added prawns) and a bruschetta.
When the food arrived we got the salads first and discovered the following: the Ceasar salad had a total of 7 croutons, all of which were stale and soggy having paid extra for prawns, there for only 3 for $8 the Parmesan was congealed, hard and dry the spicy bean salad was merely spinach, tinned beans and tinned corn. It was missing the red onion, coriander, feta, as well as the already missing avocado the bruschetta was the only real edible option, but even that was lacking tomato or the ricotta/ basil whip, so was disappointing too.
We raised all of this with your waitstaff who apologised and offered to have feta added to the bean salad; which should’ve already been there. We declined as we had run out of time to wait for a reorder.
We once again raised our disappointment and concern when paying, but our comments were not even acknowledged - instead the bartender just glared at us. Our total bill was nearly $80 for two people for food that was missing items, below average, and very disappointing.
I have since tried contacting the owner/manager twice and heard nothing back. I would say trust the bad reviews, and look at how defensive they are in response to those reviews, yet they won’t address it directly...
Read moreWe ordered online but when my son went to collect he was told they didn’t have the order, despite it showing as paid on my bank account. Instead of acknowledging the error and giving good customer service, they gave a lot of excuses and their only solution was that we paid for it again and wait another 30-40 minutes for the food. They wouldn’t give a refund that night as the guy on front desk said they didn’t have a manager working and no-one there could do the refund. I had to go back in the next lunchtime to get a refund and met the duty manager who said she was there the previous night, while she issued the refund she also gave lots of excuses. I get that hospo is going through a tough time at the moment and we like to support local businesses, but it’s also a lot of money to buy pizza as a take away treat for our family, and it was definitely a below average experience for us. Good customer service would have looked like a swift apology and then making the pizzas as they could see they had the payment, rather than having to buy twice, wait and return for a refund. I’m posting a review because they didn’t seem that bothered about the mistake - hopefully seeing it in a review helps future take away customers 🤞🏻
