As a lifelong pizza purist—raised on the crisp-edged glory of true Neapolitan pies—I approached Flaming Pizza Parmy with the cautious optimism of a man who’s been burned by too many soulless chain slices. Let me say this, with a heart full of gratitude and a belly joyfully stretched: these guys absolutely nailed it.

No, it’s not Neapolitan. It’s not trying to be. What it is, however, is the most delicious, generous, and flavour-packed pizza I’ve had in years—anywhere in New Zealand.

From the Seafood Delight to the Italiano, every bite delivered that elusive harmony: bold ingredients, real cheese, playful heat from jalapeños, and a crust that holds its own without being doughy or dull. Even the pineapple—yes, I said it—was a triumph of balance, not a soggy afterthought.

And the delivery? Punctual, piping hot, and handled with care. I live well beyond the 5km mark, and still, my order arrived in perfect condition. Big brands: take note. Flaming Pizza Parmy is playing in another league entirely.

What an excellent pizza place. I got delivery from here and I was quite impressed. The delivery was within 20minutes and food was good. The garlic bread was the best I've had from pizza shops. It was very buttery but still crisp bread. The cookies and cream shake was really excellent. Chunky bits, choc sauce and a mound of real cream on top. 4 stars for taste and quality. Only thing I didn't like was the pricing. It's a tad bit expensive. Delivery was 6 bucks, 1 normal sized pizza was $20 and on the app to add a drink is $2 but then you have to click to add the type of drink selection, which adds extra money. So you select add drink for $2 then select a can for $2.50 the cart totals $4.50 for the can. And $6 for a 600ml. Shake was $9 and it's relatively smallish. It looks larger because of the cream But overall, great food, good quality just pricey. I can't say much about in store, never been in. Waited nearly a hour for our food as they forgot part of the order. I asked for 3 chicken burgers and got home to find 2 chicken and a beef. By the time we got home all the chips were cold and soggy as we had to wait so long so the kids refused to eat them. My daughters chicken was still pink in the middle so she couldn't eat hers. Over $40 of food and 2 of us didn't get tea cause of there stuff ups. Im glad they found it funny though. Then I have one of them messaging me because of my feedback. Very professional.

I did contact the store when I got home to find the burgers where wrong and Taylor answered and he just said thats what i ordered. I said it wasn't and again he said he was. No offer of it to be remade or being delivered was offered. My daughter didn't finish work till about 9 and thats when she had her burger so I couldn't ring about that one...
