I have been here about 5-6 times now on my journys and the results have been overall good but not great. Coffee is good, donuts are good but the pies I have tried are mid at best. Really good pastry but the fillings are a let down, the sandwiches are super skimmped on the meat filling. Hardly anything but carrot and lettuce. The bacon and egg muffins and the rib bun were hard and chewy, also very bland. Custard square is one of the worst I have had from a bakery in a long time, flavorless jelly like custard and hard pastry, I'm assuming was frozen maybe.
The service is awesome, lovely people and it's a good little shop, the coffee alone is worth a stop and grab a donut while your at it, there a tons of items I have not tried so don't take what I say as a blanket view of the bakery I will return again and try...
Read more2nd complaint: 113 gram pie including a paper bag. Absolutly garbage for the price. This is actually getting smaller each batch. Note i will keep complaining. 3rd time Im going to promote a youtube video showcasing your shit pies and compare them to good pies
1st complaint: Not this place but their pies they sell wholesale. Of 15 years of working in cafes, resturants and bakerys i never did the whole "shrinkflation". I kept the quality and priced it accordingly.
Ive already complained at the dairy they come from.
Steak and pepper pies and smaller and in my opinion not worth...
Read moreIt was ok. We got two potatoe top pies and yesterdays donuts. And two hot chocolates. If was morning time, I did not expect the pies..the potato top... to be nut hard.. you could break a tooth on. I was gonna mention it but thought I better not. Might take offense. The potato was literally...all of the top layer... golden baked hard as if the pies were sitting in the oven longer then they should of been. So ended up not eating it..birds enjoyed it... Weren't too nice eith. The donuts we full of cream..over doing it on the cream massively. No need for the over indulgence....
