The Local Backyard Cafe and Bakery — Restaurant in Palmerston North

We visited Fusion Cafe for breakfast and were d wet lighted with the selection and service. My friends and I had just finished a cycle camping trip to Totara Reserve and were ready for second breakfasts. I find it odd as someone who lives in Ashhurst that I never have the time to visit local businesses but am so glad the guys convinced me to stop in for breakfast. Food and coffee was great though with my colleague the wrong coffee and food were delivered. The muffin was confirmed with the waitress but not delivered after it was to be heated up. Some 10 mins went by and my other colleague went to check what had happened. Eventually it was curtly delivered without an apology and plate banged on the table. I travel around and visit cafes usually twice a day, usually for a coffee. Popped into Backyard Cafe in Ashhurst today. Great vibe and good coffee. Lovely staff. I didn't eat but the place was busy even on a wet day so the food must be good. Nice and warm inside. Charming outdoor area as well. Definitely recommend it.
